Unfortunately the host isn't able to self-reflect and acknowledge when something on his side goes wrong, regardless of his 500 reviews, things can happen that aren't planned for, and in such events it becomes clear if a host truly is a great host or just "collecting" positive reviews..
In our case unfortunately the host didn't show any kind of understanding for our situation, first we were placed in a different flat without any prior warning, then after 3 nights we were kicked out of that flat again with less then 12 hours notice even though family members were sick and unable to move.
The host is clearly focused on the business, not to provide the "airbnb experience" for his guests. As much as he claims to have texts, I have texts showing him threatening us to kick us out etc etc.
So let his good reviews speak against a well traveled airbnber, and everyone just make their own experience. As long as there is no water damage with his flats, you might have a pleasant stay, so good luck!
