I'm a poet, traveling professor, independent filmmaker, and overall renaissance man. To make a living, I currently teach English, creative writing, and history courses at New Jersey City University, my alma mater (class of 2001), as well as Fairleigh Dickinson and William Paterson Universities. My passion is writing, specifically poetry, though I also write short screenplays and an occasional feature.
As far as Independent filmmaking goes, I never really considered myself one, though I am good at what I do: my screenplays are well-composed and structured, my direction, both on Shakespearean plays and my own films, is budding and becoming more firmly rooted in the ideals of Krzysztof Kieslowski and Federico Fellini. My goal for filmmaking is to make films that inspire and touch people, spark a laugh or a brief moment of enlightenment, and that make the viewers see the world around them slightly different once leaving the theater.
