Amy's has a beautiful loft, in a fanastic location! I highly recommend staying at Amy's home.
Amy's flat was amazing. It is full of light, comfortable, nicely decorated with original artworks, and very well located in a quiet street 2-minute walk away from the bustling streets with lots of nice restaurant and shops. It was very easy to communicate with Amy during our stay and she had sent us some tips of what to do in Chicago before arriving. I would definitively recommend staying in her flat!
We had a very good experience staying at Amy's apartment. It is conveniently located on Paulina in Wicker Park. It's a short walk to Milwaukee Avenue (where there's a grocery store and drug stores) and North Avenue (plenty of bars and restaurants). The location was really important for us, as we used to live in the area.
The apartment was very clean and has an eclectic decor—great for people who appreciate fine art. The downstairs has a kitchen, dining area, full bathroom, and living room with a couch and television (although we didn't turn it on). Upstairs is a studio area, which includes a desk, sofa, a fold-out bed, and a half-bath. Overall, it was a very good experience; everything went very smoothly.
Amy was very easy to communicate with both before and during our stay. Being a first time airbnb user, she was very helpful throughout the entire process. The loft was exactly as pictured and we had an excellent stay. The area has a lot of good bars, restaurants, shops and galleries to check out, and was an easy train ride into the city center. We really appreciated the welcome bottle of wine! My only complaint was that the loft could have been left a little cleaner for us - nothing major, but some dusting and more meticulous cleaning of the bathroom would have been appreciated. Otherwise it was good value and space for the money and definitely worth a stay if you are visiting Chicago and want to avoid the Loop or Mag Mile!
Amy's place was exactly as advertised. Super-close to the Blue line, with a ton of great restaurants and bars close by. Her apartment definitely has a unique character, and feels much more personable than a sterile hotel room. My first airbnb experience, and thanks to Amy, definitely not my last.
The reservation was canceled 18 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Our stay at Amy's loft was nothing short of amazing! The place was a dream-so our style, with it's exposed brick and beams and art everywhere. We felt right at home but also like we were staying at an old friends place. It was clean and comfortable and in a great location. We enjoyed drinks on the patio, taking in the vibes of Wicker Park, to cap-off each of our nights at The Loft. Amy was a Top Notch host( even though we didn't get to meet her in person) leaving us wine, coffee/tea, fresh linens and a coupon to a neighborhood restaurant for us to try! We were close to public transit to see the sights but her place was in such a great area we stuck around there as well. All in all, our first trip to Chicago was a hit and we can 't wait to get back and would stay at Amy's again for sure!
A lovely apartment in a terrific location--we couldn't have had a nicer stay!
My partner and I spent 3 nights at Amy's loft and it was excellent! Beautifully maintained space with many interesting personal touches. Location wise, you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Many thanks to Amy!
Spent 3 nights in this great loft apartment between Milwaukee and North in the heart of Bucktown/WIcker Park. It has everything you could want in terms of lounge space, full kitchen, and comfortable bed. Probably its best feature is the two decks that look over Chicago. Wonderful place, wonderful neighborhood. You're about a two minute walk from a large grocery store, great restaurants, cafes, bars, and shopping. A little further on (5-7 min. walk) is the six-point intersection in the middle of Wicker Park. The Damen and Division blue line CTA stations are both just a few minutes away. And, to top it off, Amy was super easy to coordinate everything with. Would definitely stay here again!
Amy stayed one night with us and we had just one quick conversation with her before we all crashed at bedtime, but she seemed very friendly, courteous, and communicative. No problems at all and we appreciate her staying with us!
