The place in the pictures is not the place that you'll be staying. It's blocks away, with shared bedrooms, and no private rooms. It's not bad but just don't hooked up on the beautiful pictures you see posted. It was cheap so definitely works with the place. But you'll be upset and disappointed in this place if you have high standards. This was a good place to stay for my first, and last time.
We were very disappointed in our stay! The place was dirty & disgusting! Lights were shining into our room all night from the hallway, people were loud & inconsiderate,so we weren't able to get any sleep. The bathroom & shower was disgusting so we couldn't even shower, plus there wasn't even hand soap to wash your hands! Also, the area seemed shady, so you had to keep watching your back. If I was you, I wouldn't waste your time or money on this place!
Overall, it was a good stay. It's very close to the subway station and there are many little stores around the area. The communication to the owner was a bit weird, but everything went well.
1. Didn't know that this was a hostel.
2. Called the host to check-in for my reservation since no one was home. Didn't get checked in until the morning before I left(at 3am) and he didn't know who I was, considering I was one of three people there.
3. Bathroom and kitchen were extremely dirty, especially to not have many people around.
