I adore going abroad and experiencing new people and places. Most recently, I've traveled around China, Costa Rica, El Salvador, and lived for a year in Japan. As a guest, I try to be very respectful of the spaces I occupy and strive to be a good communicator.
Besides working full-time in non-profit development at an international school, I am also a volunteer fellow with an organization based in Chinatown. I work with recently-immigrated high school students to help them develop leadership skills and become community advocates.
While I don't get much free time these days, I do love the feeling of being productive and will spend a lot of time challenging myself creatively - by taking on knitting projects above my skill level, engaging in DIY crafting, and by making other works of art.
