After having given Margot's apartment a one-night chance, I still felt strongly disappointed in the difference between how it was described in the listing and its reality. While the apartment was passable, it was not accurately represented. This is the only negative experience I've had staying in a dozen AirBnBs all over the world.
I decided to leave and find other accomodations after having raised my concerns about serious misrepresentation with Margot. I feel badly that my raising these issues seems to have so distressed or inconvenienced her, but to be frank, the characterization here is an order of magnitude more dramatic than the actual situation, which was resolved calmly and quickly with my very voluntary departure. (And for the record, I've lived in Brooklyn for more than five years.)
