David is a demanding guest but he is clean, tidy, courteous and generous. I'll be delighted to host David again.
David and his lovely sons were our first Airbnb guests and what a pleasure they were to look after. Friendly, curteous and smiley just like his photo. We'd love to see them again. We couldn't have asked for better guests, bring on more of the same please!
It seems like David and I did not make it to let him have a great stay.
Everything was so dirty according to him, that I found the place a nightmare after first night (photos upon request), pillows on the bathroom floor.
We never accused David of anything, just noted things when seeing the place (all written correspondances available for curious minds). We explained to him the comforter had been washed and as a consequence had metal marks on it. He understood we ironed the comforter...
The washing machine did indeed break during David's stay, and we were both sad for his stay and surprised. We had it repaired on the morning of his check out.
We checked him in at 1.30pm, way before usual times, as he insisted on being jet lagged.
We answered to every one of his request/claim, which made 7 answers within the first 24 hours. We stopped counting after that.
David felt like "The couette" was all dirty and we had to explain him that all bedlinens are always washed, but he was totally convinced it was all dirty, hence saying he could not sleep.
David also talks about 5 flights of stairs : he is right. You are in Montmartre, on a hill, hence flight of stairs are linked two by two. That is the reason why we advert this place on floor 2. David maybe forgot to explain he arrived with a walking stick and never asked about the stairs previously. Many people came to this apartment, from 2 to age 80, without ever complaining to us. Luckily, David offered us his walking stick and let it in the apartment, showing those stairs have been a great benefit to him!
I offered many solutions to confort him, and we even agreed to meet upon check out to discuss and see what could be improved between us. Very strangely, David had already left. Too bad as we let him chose the appropriate time for this meeting.
Shall I insist ?
Oh yes, I forgot, his best sentence was "Per contract, I will leave the place as I found it".
Per contract, I will say David is a very nice person to meet :)
First time we ever had to review someone this way. Considering all reviews made from our work so far, we feel very sad about this one. We will be looking forward to being teached to be better professionnals from seeing David renting his own sofa.
