We had a great stay at Lydia's flat! It was perfect and just a couple minutes away from the beach and shopping in Carmel, She was very helpful with restaurant choices and had delicious snacks, tea and coffee in the room, we had a great honeymoon!
Very nice place, very nice host.
Bring your bike and you can ride from the apartment to the Carmel gate of 17 Mile Drive, where you can do a fabulous bike ride.
Thanks Lydia for a great stay! The apartment was adorable and had everything we could have needed for a weekend mini-vacay to Carmel. While we did not spend much time in the actual room, we were able to take advantage of the coffee maker, wine key, and robes.
The only concern with the location of the apartment was the lack of sidewalks and the speeding cars on the street, which would have made a walk to downtown Ocean Ave a little scary particularly at night.
Such and awesome place to stay at in Carmel! My sister and I got out of Silicon Valley for the weekend and really enjoyed everything about Lydia's spot and the surrounding area. Lydia greeted us when we arrived and got us acquainted with the space (which is really neat!) Super clean. Well organized. Great location- we walked downtown to breakfast every morning. I would highly recommend this spot! Don't forget to visit Juliano over at Casanova- he made us feel like special guests, too!
Lydia and her home were very welcoming. My boyfriend and I enjoyed our trip very much and would recommend her place to anyone! It is a great location close to many shops and restaurants in Carmel. She was a perfect host giving us tips on places to go while also giving us our privacy.
The perfect place to stay for a peaceful getaway! It's in a great location and Lydia was very welcoming and provided tons of resources of things to do during our stay!
Rachel....you were such wonderful guests!!! Thanks!
It was great fortune finding this quaint little place to stay. It turned out to be in a perfect location. So much easier and better than hotel.
Thanks Dana!!! great guests!
A lovely space, really nicely decorated, bright, and comfortable. Furniture is in excellent shape, and there's lots of space for storage, too. The host was very welcoming and available to help at any time. It was great to be able to eat breakfast in, but it's a little awkward to use the bathroom sink to wash the dishes. We think the space is best for younger visitors, because there are two steps leading from the bedroom to the hallway and bathroom, and there are two other steps from the kitchen/bathroom area to the living room. We felt we had to tread carefully to make sure not to trip on these.
Host, Lydia, contacted me early in the day re finding flat, key, etc. We walked to town (following Waze) which was perfect after long day in car. Saw a beautiful sunset at Carmel Beach (probably more than a mile downhill but not too steep or strenuous on the return). It was beautiful. There was also a town tourist map in the flat so we were oriented:) Found Bruno 's market about half way home so we could have a salad. We were lucky to have our phone flashlight but it was very easy and if we had thought ahead, we could have brought the flashlight from the flat. We have stayed in a lot of Airbnb/(website hidden) rentals and I have never stayed in one more comfortable and true to the description. Lydia and Giullian have put a lot of energy into making their flat cozy and lacking for nothing
There are snacks water, Italian coffee, bathrobes, TV, WiFi, cozy bed, brochures, maps, fabulous shower. We loved it.
Lydia did a great job of making us feel welcome, and had coffee, snacks, water, and info about local places to check out. She's taken great pains to make sure the whole space feels intentional, not just a random guest house. The photos gave a good impression of the space. The only downside about the location was that, while it is indeed quite close to downtown Carmel, there aren't any sidewalks, so we never really felt comfortable walking down there because it's quite dark, too. Aside from that, we had an excellent experience, and would absolutely stay there again!
