We had a great time while staying at the Little Yellow House in Cambria! Having the whole family together was amazing...the deer in the yard and across the street were a bonus! TV & wi-fi weren't even missed. Thank you to our wonderful hostess, Regina, for sharing her home with us!
We really enjoyed the town of Cambria. There is lots to see and do in the area, and we definitely enjoyed the laid back atmosphere.
We were disappointed in the little yellow house. It was musty and damp, and not as clean as we would have expected.
When we arrived, the house was very cold, and we couldn't get the furnace lit. Our host was responsive and had her manager fix it that evening. That's a good thing... as it gets cool in the evening in October.
We really enjoyed our stay in Regina's adorable home. Every detail was attended to. The house was easy to find and though only a few blocks off the main road, felt like we were out in the country surrounded by trees.
We did not get cell service (we have AT&T) so it is something to consider if you need to stay in touch. We had to drive into town to get service. This was great for keeping us off devices and enjoying the quiet and each other.
The perfect place. We stayed in Regina's cottage for a week with our two small kids (we brought cribs along). The house has a lot of character and was in a very convenient location. It was great that everything we could have wished for was there. We enjoyed sitting by the outside fire pit in the evenings. Our son loved looking at the deer in the neighbour's backyard. Communication with Regina was excellent, both before our stay and during (through the clear notes she had left).
A wonderful, quiet location and a beautifully presented house. The beds were really comfy and there were lots of games and books to keep our family occupied. I loved the fact there was no TV and no wifi. Plenty of places in town to hook up to the Internet if needs be. Cambria is a lovely little place with good places to eat and even a small theatre. Regina was a great host - good comms and a helpful folder was provided with tips and info on the local area. Would love to return some day.
We spent a week at Regina's house, it was a lovely place with plenty of space and was just as described. Loved the deer walking down the road. Cambria has some ineresting antique shops and galleries and is a very nice town though not alot for young people to do.
This is our second trip to the Little Yellow House, but it certainly will not be our last. It's sweet, comfortable, well located, cozy and welcoming. We highly recommend the LIttle Yellow House. Regina is a wonderful host
Regina's Little Yellow House in Cambria was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. Regina is a wonderful host ... Very responsive in communicating. Her little cottage is well equipped, and full of sweet memorabilia from days gone by. We will definitely return.
My husband and I loved our stay at the little yellow house. It was like being at the beach cottage of an old friend - cozy, quiet and well-appointed. Definitely recommend!
I was looking for an unconnected retreat and Regina's home was perfect! Almost too perfect that I felt guilty for using the perfectly placed throw blanket on the couch while reading my book. :-) Her house is very comfortable as well as was the featherbed. Regina's communication was clear and she checked in on me at the appropriate times, a well seasoned AirBnB host. Thanks Regina!
