I am a teacher in Zarcero a very small town in Costa Rica.
I love to travel, reading and meeting new people from all over the world.
Only concerned with how much money they collect, was talked down to because I did not speak English, Sandra is off site, you are dealing with
her mother, I let them keep the money for the last 3 days and left early.
Great place to stay Sandra's Mom very attentive!
Sandra and Edgar (and their daughter Ava) are wonderful hosts! We really enjoyed getting to know them. From a tour around their beautiful farm (so many interesting fruits and plants!), to suggestions for where to go and what to visit, Sandra and Edgar made us feel so welcome. They were accommodating of our schedule, and we were even able to stay an extra night. The food was delicious, and we enjoyed their lively conversation. It was great to get away from the touristy areas and get to know a Costa Rican family.
Hi I'm Ariel Sandra's son, I think she is the most caring person on earth (i know everyone thinks that about their mom) but with everyone, she has been a teacher since I could remember so just imagine the patience and care for the community that she has, Zarcero is a small town in Costa Rica, great nature sight seeings and you could see how the farms work as well, my parent's house is pretty rustic I would say, and in the middle of a farm with beautiful plants and pretty delicious fruit, so don't hesitate on staying here, you will be treated as a family member and get the most delicious Costa Rican Breakfast.
Sandra is my mom and I totally recommend staying at her house in Zarcero! She will prepare you the best Costa Rican breakfast and treat you like you are part of the family. Her beautiful house is perfect if you want to spend a night in another place in your way to Arenal area and also if you want to experience our culture. Also is good to relax and see something less touristy in our country.
