My husband, Ian and I are keen travellers - both internationally and within our own country. We live down The Great Ocean Rd - an infamous tourist destination.
My background is Fine Arts at Melbourne University and thus am interested in all aspects of Art and design in any country we may visit.
Ian was in the police force for 36 years - initially in the motorcycle dept then as promotion dictated, he learnt to fly a desk, reluctantly. He still rides a 1300 FJR Yamaha.
We are both very hands on people and as we are retired, are able to participate in Land Recovery program's with our 4WD club after fire or flood has devastated areas of our state.
Minimalistic camping in our 4WD and roof top camper in remote areas of Australia with our 4WD club has given us some unique experiences. Last year our convoy was invited to be used as a test case to help open up an alcohol free aboriginal community, in The Northern Territory, for the purpose of achieving financial independence. We covered 15,000 kms through some of Australias finest outback that trip.
We have 5 children between us and Ians sons have given us 4 grandchildren that are under 6 and live 3 or 4 hours away in Melbourne - catch ups are always a delight.
