Isabella and Paulo were fantastic hosts. They greeted us warmly, assisted us in arriving, and showed us everything their villa has to offer. Their home is very unique and was very well equipped for our needs. I wish I had paid attention to the fact they have a pool! Their home is located about a five minute walk from the train station. Extremely convenient. breakfast was perfect as they provide a variety of items and you can choose as you like to include bacon and eggs, cereal, toast, yogurt, coffee, espresso, etc. Our rooms were delightfully unique and it was a pleasure to come home to their place each night. I wholeheartedly recommend their B&B!
Let me start by saying that the host are very nice but the add is so very deceiving. This villa is divided into many rooms and I had asked for a whole house. What we got was a room with a very very small bathroom divided into two rooms in the back of the house. The air conditioning did not cool the second room at all so on the second night they bought us a portable a/c. We did have access to a living area and a small pool but there was always many guests of the homeowners. This was not as advertised there was no view, no dryer. No cable TV and most of all it was not the whole house. The price is way too high for what we received. We would have been much more comfortable and had some privacy at hotel in the city. The commute though easy is about 25 minutes into Rome. Once we got back we where pretty much confined to our rooms because they were entertaining. They did provide things that you could cook and eat for breakfast but each morning in the midst of doing that the power would go out. Lots of traffic in this area as well.
Our stay was amazing. We were treated very well and will come back again in a heart beat. Their house is a 2 min walk to fruit stand, pizza, train station, coffee shop, etc. By train, Rome is 15 to 20 mins.
Isabella's house was just perfect for what I was looking for. A pleasant surrounding away from the bustle of central Roma to chill before the next stage of my journey - Italian Language School. The place was clean, the room generous, a lovely garden and swimming pool to cool you down. The communal kitchen/dining was the perfect environment to meet and talk with other guests. Getting to Isabella's was very simple via metro and surburban rail. If I get the opportunity, I would most definitely go back. Thanks Isabella
It feels like home. It is a lovely place to stay.
This is a very quiet and lovely villa! The room is not big but very clean and neat. Isabella and her husband are very kind and thoughtful hosts! Her husband picked us up at the airport that night when we arrived, and Isabella waited for us in the villa and provided us with very useful transportation information from her villa to the downtown the next morning. The villa is just next to the train station Ottavia, and it takes around 20min to get to the downtown. One morning when we are waiting for the train in the station, Isabella and her husband even ran into the station to update us the strike that would impact the public transportation on the same day. The couple is so thoughtful that we were really well accommodated in the villa!
Isabella was a great host. She made arrangements for our transportation to and from the airport at 35 euros (3 people and bag) each way, had lots of public transportation information for while we were in Rome ready, and a dinner suggestion. The little pizzeria just up the street from the flat was great. The pizza was good, the owner was friendly, and it was inexpensive. The perfect meal after a long 24 hours of travel before bed.
Isabella is a very warm and welcoming person who would go out of her way to make her guests feel welcome. On arrival she gave us a full breakdown of transportation options. This included some useful information on night busses and from where they leave as the trains don't run all night. I loved that the house is so close to the train station (only a 1 minute walk!). The room was beautifully decorated and clean. The self-serve breakfast area also has everything one could want, even bacon and eggs! There is also a small convenience shop around the corner where one can buy the basics.
If you don't mind taking the train and living a bit outside the centre - this is a good choice. Nice rooms w comfortable beds. Nice hosts!
Isabella and her family even cooked for us one evening - really nice!
Well recommended - especially if you have kids, since they have a small garden with a pool.
labella has a wonderful bnb. each room has a private entrance and my room was decorated so nicely. a real treat was that there was a separate kitchen and large dining area for guests to use - and breakfast foods included yogurt, bacon and eggs. thanks for your warm hospitality Isabella. diane
