The courtyard has a very good location in the center of Beijing, a 30 minute walk brings you to Tiananmen square and the forbidden city. And it's also 5 minute walk to a subway station. The service is fine and the host is flexible and helpful. I guess in the summer, it would be really nice to relax in the courtyard.I only regret the room is a bit small for a family. It's best for couples to stay.
Qun was really helpful all the time, highly recommended to stay in his place. Thanks a lot Qun and hope to meet you again!
SQ was a great host. The place was very nice and completely to our satisfaction. It was traditional and comfortable with modern conveniences. He was highly accommodating and allowed us to extend our stay by a day when we changed our travel plans. I would strongly recommend staying with him. :)
A wonderfully clean abode with a warm hearted host. I recommend it highly.
We stayed in Qun Su courtyard room for two nights during our stay in Beijing. We took the public transit to Dongzhimen and turned down a side street and then into his Hutong. literally is only 5 minutes walk away and all the local restaurants are situated along the GUI JIE. First impressions of the room were very good. Everything appeared as portrayed in the photos. All Very Clean, good shower and the courtyard is really quiet. Qun also help us booking our train tickets to Guangzhou and give us good information how to get to the great wall.
What a wonderful experience in a hutong and highly recommend him for other!!!
very good place in Beijing center!
What a wonderful experience in a hutong! I extol Qun Su's amazing hospitality & support during my stay. He helped me immensely to research what trains were still available for me to take to Xi'an to see the ancient city & the terra cotta warriors, as well as Badaling to see the Great Wall. He even showed me an iPhone app that can be used offline to navigate (includes lines, route planning, & fare calculations in English) the Beijing subway, which also has other major Chinese city subway maps available for download, called China Metro. I highly recommend it, too!
The room was very comfortable & has a lot of great charm. The air conditioning worked well, as did the water heater. The bathroom was very well laid out & even if I had been staying with someone, it would have been fine. The courtyard was lovely & it was nice to be able to sit outside with a cup of tea before starting my busy day of sightseeing. I have lots of food restrictions, so being able to use the kitchen was a major plus for me as well. The wifi was definitely a plus, since wifi while in the rest of Beijing was challenging to say the least. It is very close to two subway stations & is located in a very neat area with lots of restaurants open late. The great part is that the hutong is on a back street from the hustle & bustle of the main street, so there is no noise at all.
I highly recommend staying here & plan to return on a future trip to Beijing.
It was very friendly family. Thanks to Qun for staying at our villa. Highly recommend him for other hosts.
