We live in Santa Barbara, but love our little second home in Arroyo Grande and all the things the Central Coast has to offer, from wine tasting to driving on the beach.

Aaron's cottage was perfect for me and my family. We stayed here for a week and had a fabulous time. The cottage was the perfect size for my husband, my 2 kids, and myself. It is even cuter in person than the photos show, though the photos are very accurate. The kitchen was well stocked, the grill worked great, everything was very clean, nice linens. The patio was a good spot for a rest after sight seeing and for eating dinner together. The yard was good for the kids to run around and play ball in. The location is very good, walkable to the old, charming downtown of Arroyo Grande, very quick drive to beaches, vineyards, and grocery shopping. Aaron was a good host, great communication and very helpful. We had a small issue with the door and he came and took care of it for us right away. He really wanted to make sure we were comfortable, and we were! I would definitely stay here again if we decide to return to the Central Coast and highly recommend this place to others.
Our family had a great time at the cottage. Aaron was a great host: he took the time to greet us when we arrived and showed us around the house, and gave us some suggestions for things to do in the area. He also left us a bottle of great wine in the fridge, which my wife and I enjoyed on the sunny deck! The kids loved the house as well, and having TV with Netflix definitely helped to keep them busy before dinner.
The location of the house is excellent: walking distance to the Arroyo Grande Village that has several nice restaurants and shops. For families with kids we recommend Doc Burnstein's Ice Cream Lab. Ten minutes drive to Pismo Beach and about 20-30 minutes to Morro Bay. Also very close to many wineries in the area.
Overall, the house is exactly as advertised, and we really enjoyed our stay and recommend it to others.
The cottage of Aaron and Susan was great. Very nice interior design and very good equipped. It felt like home for 5 days and we were always happy to return to "our" place during our day trips. The terrace is just great. There is nothing you miss in this place. The village Arroyo Grande is very cute and it is walking distance to the main street with some really nice restaurants. The communication with Aaron was super easy and relaxed.
Fresh roses, a nice greeting card and a excellent bottle of wine surprised us at our arrival.
The whole experience was awesome. This cottage is the perfect size for four people to get away and have a relaxing weekend. The deck is perfect for enjoying dinner with friends and using the grill. plenty of dishes, pots, and pans, towels, blankets, pillows. wifi - it's all superb
What an awesome vacation spot! Gorgeous and scenic. We visited central CA for the first time last month (April) and this charming little cottage in Arroyo Grande is a great place to stay! Located in a quaint historic neighborhood close to local restaurants and shops [we love the Potting Bench & antique stores]. The cottage is also about 20 minutes from San Luis Obispo (SLO). We enjoyed SLO’s farmers market very much and went to the mission church a couple of times for mass. The cottage is about 1 ½ hour away from the Hearst Castle, Pismo beach is also close by (10 min) and if you want a nice scenic drive, head north to Pfeiffer State Park and the Big Sur to see the water fall about 3 hours away.
It’s great to come home to a fully equipped kitchen which has everything that you will need [including basic seasonings, salt/pepper/cooking oil etc.] Sometimes the little things make a big difference which Aaron & Susan made sure is available for their guests – clean towels, quality linen, sheets, Wi-Fi, Netflix, even Wii. The bright kitchen opens up to the deck - our favorite spot for hanging out. We used the grill and “BBQ’ed” quite a bit and it’s really convenient to have a full size washer and dryer too.
Aaron is also very easy to deal with. We rented the cottage for 9 days and even though we did not meet him in person, he communicated daily to check-up on us to see if we needed anything and even made recommendations of things to do locally. Thanks so much Aaron and Susan, I love the roses and lavender in your back yard. Most of all, thanks for providing a clean and comfortable place for my family to stay. Central CA is gorgeous and when we visit again, we sure would love to stay at your place again!
Aaron and Susan were extremely welcoming and conscientious hosts! We didn't get to meet in person but they left us a lovely bottle of wine and note and were regularly in contact with us when we had questions. The house was lovely and the kitchen had everything you could need. It was fantastic!
We had a wonderful stay at Aaron and Susan's place. It is such a lovely, well decorated cottage. They allowed our well behaved pup to stay with us as well, which made our stay that much better. We loved soaking in the sunshine on the gated back deck with our dog. The house has everything you might need, a fully stocked kitchen, fast wifi, netflix, etc. The location is amazing, just a short walk from tons of great restaurants and shops. Arroyo Grand is a charming little town. We also loved being so close to Pismo Beach, SLO, and Morrow Bay (excellent dog beach there!). The hosts are great communicators and kept in contact. They also left us an excellent bottle of Chardonnay from their favorite local vineyard with a nice card welcoming us to their home. This stay was among our favorites on AirBnb and we will definitely be back. We highly recommend this charming cottage!
We had a wonderful stay last weekend, just wish we could have stayed longer:) The house is really cute and furnished very nicely. The patio is amazing with the sun and the views and the back yard was great for playing with our dog. You can't ask for a better location for proximity to the village. It was nice and quiet and night and we slept great. The gas fireplace in the living room was really cozy and romantic and kept us plenty warm. We loved the sunlit kitchen leading out to the patio. When we got there we were left with a really nice bottle of white wine which was delicious. The hosts were in touch with us over text messages and were really responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay again.
Delightful place close to AG village and easy access to the surrounding towns. Breakfast on the deck is a wonderful experience. Great kitchen. Everything you need for a restful retreat in character/tastefully decorated accommodation. We look forward to our next visit.
We had a great stay at the lovely cottage. It was very clean and the environment is great. There are so many nice things to do and places to visit. We would absolutely recommend the place!
Thanks! So glad you enjoyed Big Sky. Great guest, you're welcome to visit our neck of the woods anytime.
Great People and Delightful Guests. Aaaron & Susan were warm and friendly. It was a pleasure to host them and nice to see them enjoying the pool area. The casita was left in perfect condition.
