The place looked very tired and was quite dirty. You could literally see through the bed sheets and their cleanliness was doubtful with other people's hair stuck in the pillow cases. The hallway and stairs to the apartment were revolting! If we had paid half of what we did we would consider it an ok experience because the location was good and it was lovely being all at the same place but for the price we felt ripped off.
The host was helpful, responsive and pleasant. One of the bedrooms was so hot we could not sleep in it. We contacted our host and he responded straight away and fixed the problem.
This 3 bdrm/1 bath apartment is in a great location! Short walk to Columbus Circle for catching the subway and to Central Park, easy walk to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Empire State Bldg., etc. Comfortably housed 7 adults. Hosts (Tony & Linus) are great and very helpful! I highly recommend this apartment.
This listing was in a great location. The best part about it was that there are 3 bedrooms so no one had to sleep on the couch. *but that's pretty comfy too* There were 5 of us in total, but this place holds so many more! If you are affected by street noise, there is a more internal room you could sleep in. The staff is readily available through texting and were really easy to work with. The TV was cutting in and out which made watching a baseball game a bit stressful, but no one's going to NYC to watch TV in an apartment. The kitchen sink looks a little yikes as well as the bathtub, but they were clean, just old I guess. Don't book this place if you can't walk up several stairs. I recently had a knee surgery, but managed to survive. I needed my husband to carry my heavy luggage up as well so be prepared for that if your luggage is heavy. The staff was SUPER professional and even made accommodations for my friends who were staying a bit later than originally planned. I would definitely recommend this listing. It's pretty close to the subway station. It was easy to hail a cab since it's near a hotel. And there's always your two feet! We were able to walk to many major streets. There's an irish pub on the corner and a little convenience store next door. Hope this was helpful and happy travels!
We had a terrific stay in this apartment. Great communication and great service. Would highly recommend it for location, ease of use, and service.
Great apartment, very quiet and comfortable. Nice safe convenient neighborhood. We had a great time. And the host was extremely helpful
Perfect location and The Best Host! My husband, me and our 2 year old son stayed here for 5 weeks. Tony shared a large bucket of toys to our son beside of a high chair and babybed. When I emailed him a sunday night about the bathtub was clogged he fixed it monday morning! I recommand this apartment to everyone who likes to live close to "where everything happens" but still wants to sleep in a quit area. We will deffently stay here again:)
Very convenient location, price is good but the apartment is a bit decrepit. Communication with the owner is very easy, he responds very fast. Wifi is very slow and often doesn't work.
Convenient location, near Times Square and Central Park. Room for many sleepers. Although it was dark and somewhat small for a 3 bedroom, it was good for sleeping, quiet and fairly comfortable. If your objective is to see New York and be close to the action, this place is for you. If you are used to being pampered in a hotel, I would skip it. Host was great, meeting us on arrival and exchanging the necessary info and keys.
We stayed in apartment 454b for 10 days in September 2013. We found Tony and Linus to be prompt and very helpful in fixing things whenever something went wrong.
Tony was very friendly and helpful. Great central location. A bit smaller than anticipated but we hardly spent any time in the house. Shower pressure was poor and the actual building especially the carpets on the stairs could do with an overhaul !!
