Patrizia was very welcoming and very flexible with our delayed arrival. She was kind and also allowed us to leave our suitcases in the apartment after our check out so we could tour the city without the hindrance of baggage. The location was central to everything and easy to find. Size was perfect for two of us and historic details of apartment were fascinating. The terrace was a lovely addition and very private.
We had a great time staying at Patrizia's apartment - it was exactly how it looked in the photos. The location was excellent, roof terrace was lovely and the bed is very comfy. It is up several flights of stairs - so something to bear in mind if you have limited mobility (or a large suitcase!)
situado en pleno centro, muy acojedor, terraza impresionante, cama comoda. en definitiva, piso perfecto. patrizia estuvo en la puerta puntual esperandonos y nos dejo hacer el check out 1 hora mas tarde avisando con antelacion
Location Location Location! We loved our stay in Florence, the apartment was exactly as pictured - cosy, warm and well equipped with a large, beautiful balcony. We enjoyed being close to everything and yes it's a bit noisy with the church bells in the morning but the view of the Duomo makes up for it! Would definitely recommend.
The position is great, you can reach every monument by walk. The apartment is very small but the terrace is a jewel. A bit noisy in the weekends because of old windows but the bed is very comfortable. Internet is very slow but the main problem is the staircase: the 4 floors are not the worse thing but it is very narrow and steep. If you have a lot of luggages, like us, might be a problem. And they write that they will help with the luggages but it is not really true. Patrizia was very very gentle at the reception and very quickly in answering to messages BEFORE our staying but I wrote her after because we lost something precious (very probably not in the apartment) and I never got a reply. This was a pity. Overally recommended with some minus.
Very punctual , good location !
Location location location! The apartment was nice and you cannot beat the location. Right in the center 15 min walk from train station and walking distance from main attractions . Very clean and convenient
The only downside was slow wifi. It did not however ruin experience we had since we spent little time in the apartment and even less on the Internet. The apartment is one of several that are rented out in the building. It's clean and nice but lacks the character and amenities of an apartment that's lived in. There aren't basics live olive oil, salt, and pepper so any intent to cook much during your stay means you'll have to provide everything.
The communication and directions were perfect! We were allowed to leave the bags on the day of check out and it was very nice of the host. Another small inconvenience is bed seemed to be a little slanted to one side but we slept well nevertheless
Many thanks to Patrizia and her friends for sharing with us this wonderful apartment. The view from the terrace is outstanding and you don't have to go far to see all the Florentine sights. The atmosphere of the city is all around you. Great service!
Patrizia met us within minutes of us showing up to the flat. We had opted to walk from the Florence train station and it took less time than we thought. The flat is in a perfect spot, nearby a lot of great shops and restaurants, and within about ten minutes of the train station. The flat is on the top floor (we called it the Penthouse :)) and has a lovely terrace overlooking the Duomo and Campanile. From the bathroom and bedroom windows you can see the Palazzo Vecchio. We felt very at home and thoroughly enjoyed our week at the flat. We had several days of rainy and cold weather, and the heaters worked wonders. The windows all open wide and there are shutters on the bedroom windows for keeping the light out if you want a lie in. All in all, we had a wonderful time and loved the location and the layout of the flat. Being able to cook while traveling is a huge plus and a huge money saver... the kitchen is small but efficient and we had everything we needed. And we definitely took advantage of the local grocery store, the Mercatco Centrale and the wine shops! This is a perfect spot to stay -- totally central and still feels worlds away when you get upstairs.
Both Patrizia and her loft in Florence were incredible! Patrizia met us at the front door when we arrived and walked us up to her loft and showed us around / explained how everything worked.
The loft was impeccably clean and adorably-decorated. The kitchen included just about everything you need if you prefer to cook "at home" or grab breakfast to eat there.
The location of the loft itself is perfect, especially if you come via train (about 15 minute walk from the station). In the heart of the Duomo area, you can check out several of the city's historic landmarks within a few blocks.
Can't wait to get back to Florence - hopefully we can stay at Patrizia's again!
