I recently graduated from Smith College and now work at AidData, an international development research lab at the College of William and Mary. I am interested in pursuing a career where I can work as an active global leader on issues relating to human rights and equitable development. My research focus has been on women’s representation and contemporary politics in sub-Saharan Africa, and I was recently a Student Ambassador to the 2014 Women in Public Service Project Institute. At Smith I got the opportunity to be a Global STRIDE (Student Research Program) Scholar and studied Swahili language and culture in Tanzania, as well as humanitarianism and French in Switzerland.
