Everything is great! The best thing is very close from the subway station and Room interior is so good. I can recommend this place to you clealy.
It's a 4bed room apartment in the 3rd floor. My room is consistent with the picture. Adreinne is very nice and tried to make me like at home.
I used her microwave oven in the first night because the kitchen and the there 3 bedrooms was still under remodeling at that time.
I moved to the 1st floor after the first week. The 1st floor is a two bed room apartment. It's very comfortable. I especially like the collection of paintings on the wall in various rooms.
This place is just 5mins walking distance to Berkeley Bowel. Very convenient.
Overall, given the price this is a good find. (Rated 4 stars in light of price). Nothing to write home about, but warm, safe and with the amenities you need. Could definitely be nicer but again, for the price, very reasonable.
Access was sufficient with a key box and let-yourself-in approach as expected. The apartment is in pretty decent shape with a generally clean setting. The bathroom is clean but no frills. BYO toiletries. Kitchen had everything you need to cook. Bed was good. The linen situation is okay but I found sheets that had been in the wash for days (they smelled) and had to put them in the dryer to do a load for myself. The pull-out mattress is not comfortable to sleep on and did not look like it was particularly clean either. Would not recommend it for sleeping. The back room where the bed is could use some insulation. Again, not terrible, but room for improvement.
Host was contacted during stay for ice on the stoop which was attended to that day and she explained that they were trying to get better at laundry. Good attention during stay.
The host's attitude towards guests in the listing with instructions is a bit off-putting. While paying a cleaning fee, I feel like I can expect the trash to be taken out and dishes washed.
Nothing terrible and if you're on a budget, this will be a very reasonable find by the convention center. Not a hotel replacement.
We had an amazing time!
We did not see Adreinne in person, but her instructions to get to the appartment were very clear.
The place is really comfortable, clean, and we felt at home. I loved the design and the atmosphere ! we had everything to cook, chill and have a nice time.
It 's located in a nice part of Brooklyn, we felt safe there. the subway station is right around the corner, so you can get to Manhattan very quickly.
The only two things that can make you hesitate are the fact that the flat is on the second floor, with no elevator ( but nice wooden stairs), and no TV (for some people that's important). If you don't care about those details, this is a place that I highly recommend!
Adreinne let us know before we arrived that there was an issue with the unit we had reserved so she made sure she had the lower unit ready and cleaned before we got there. The switch wasn't expected but Adreinne did her best to accommodate us around the change, worked with the upper unit to mitigate noise, and made us feel welcome. Adreinne is very easy to work with and responds immediately to questions or concerns.
Adreinne's place was extremely comfortable for my party of 4. The pull-out bed is actually much larger than I thought. Although it may not be as comfy as the bed, it was still nice. They neighbourhood looks a bit sketchy at night, but is the complete opposite during the day with a lot of people and a pleasant atmosphere. I loved that the subway was right across the street from the stay.
One small complaint was that it took a bit of time for us to figure out how to use the radiator in the apartment as it was making some noises while we slept. If you are a light sleeper, the noises from the street may bother you if you sleep on the pull out bed.
Inside the apartment, everything is in pristine condition. There were even extension cords and power bars for you to use if you were charging multiple phones/cameras. Additionally, the bathroom was really nice and clean and Adreinne had provided extra towels for all of us.
All in all, this was a great stay for the price and literally a few steps away from the subway station to take you into downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan.
People's Place was a great fit for what we needed. It's clean, comfy, and located right next to the convention centre. Would definitely stay there again.
Contact with Adreinne was smooth and prompt. Though she was herself traveling for Thanksgiving, she did her best to resolve a wifi glitch promptly and we had service within the hour. The neighborhood was GREAT. The bungalow is on a blocked-off street, a dead end, so there is little traffic and the place is very quiet. Both beds were really comfortable. The apartment itself is modest but is decorated with beautiful art and simple but comfortable furnishings. We felt at home right away.
I had a great experience with this space. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent if you are attending an event at the Convention Center (which I was - a 3min walk to the main entrance), or just want convenient metro system access.
The apartment itself shows it's age a bit, but everything works and for the price you shouldn't be expecting the Marriott. For a two person 8-day stay, an apartment with full kitchen, living room, etc is much nicer than a standard hotel room in any case!
We didn't have cause to contact Adrienne much aside from the reservation itself, but the apartment was ready when we got there with towels and linens provided, and she was friendly, responsive by text/email and provided all the necessary information for us to get in and enjoy our stay.
The flat is well located close to the Convention Center and Supermarket, Metro Station and you can reach the Downtown walking 10 min
The flat is like a fridge, only with cooling system but no heaters. Sadly, our stay matched with a very cold week, therefore we suffered due to the cold. In one if the rooms was almost as cold as outside, and one of us had to sleep in the living room. The internet sometimes didn't work that well. But all the rest was fine. The place for 3 people was fine but we doubt that more than 3 would be comfortable. The bell did nog work as well. Pitty if you are expecting something or some one. We didn't get to meet Adreinne, making our stay a bit inpersonal.
So glad we could accommodate Adreinne's last minute booking request. Communication was quick and easy and she left our home-away-from-home in perfect shape. We would welcome her back anytime!
Adreinne was a great guest, good communication and left my apt. clean and tidy.
Adreinne was a perfect guest: easygoing, warm, friendly, and respectful. Prompt communication as well. We'd love to have you back anytime Adreinne!
A beautifully appointed open space in a classic Brooklyn brownstone featuring original detail and all the comforts of home. The neighborhood is ideal, one of Brooklyn's most eclectic, diverse and happening. Near all services and steps from the subway (only 20 min to Manhattan!). Tastefully furnished and comfortable, its a great place to stay for an authentic NYC experience, you may not want to leave!
Adreinne's place is very nice and comfortable, and conveniently located.
I had the privilege of staying in this space and it was truly amazing! First of all, it is so conveniently located right across the street from the A and C subway lines (and the shuttle to connect with the 2,3, and 4 trains!!) which provided instant accessibility to anywhere I needed to travel in Manhattan!! I felt right at home inside the apartment. It was very spacious, modern and quite cozy. It provided all my needs while vacationing in New York, and was much better than staying in a hotel. It felt like home and I would highly recommend this space for travelers, especially those wanting to experience all that Brooklyn has to offer.
