rustic house with nice location and vinicity surroundings. easy to get around. but the house is relatively old, a little water leaking in shower room, small bug found and less kichten stuffs in place.
Well, reviews are reviews right? Right or wrong, you have to share your experiences for the next customers to make an informed decision. Nicolas was great to work with. Very knowledgeable, quick responding, and well ... accommodating. Nicolas was great!
The house.. well, the house is very dated. It has a retro feel to it with a couple of modern upgrades (wifi and tv). The kitchen applicants were dated as well. We didn't use them.
The downside... the house isn't in the best of town. I am not saying that you can't enjoy yourself, but my family members saw graffiti as we were driving to the location and got concerned about their personal possessions being left at the house. Some of the female family members didn't want to stay at the house by themselves because of them dim lighting (50's vintage style house keep that in mind) and preferred to be at the house when everyone was there. The house sits on the back of the golf course, so technically anyone could see your coming and going (based on lights being on and off). Did anyone break in - no! Did anyone say anything to us - no! Did anyone make us feel unwelcomed - no! So take my opinion with a grain of salt. Wanted to give my honest opinion.
The home is like a blast from the past! The house when built would have been expensive. The house is large and easy to live in. The stove top looks like something out of the 1950s but works well. The bathrooms are also dated but just fine. The curtain for a door in the ensuite is certainly a novety. Huge beds that are very comfortable.
It takes about 15 minutes to drive into the Strip depending on the time of day. There is a ROSS discount store down the road. Also in that complex there is a Mexican based supermarket. If you want a more American based one there is a SMITHS in the area.
We have left a brochure for a Thai restaurant that we would recommend. The Smiths supermarket is in the same complex.
This is a good place to stay if you want to get off the Strip. The street the home is in is lovely.
If you are sadistic, you can watch the golfers trying (often unsuccessfully) to get over a nasty water hazard/sandtrap (email hidden).
Go to Red Rock Canyon. It was well worth the ride through the Canyon.
Nicolas, the owner, is extremely responsive, helpful & accommodating.
We rented the house for my in-laws so they could attend our wedding near downtown Las Vegas. The location was convenient, the golf course view was very nice, and everything was as described. Great house on a budget if you need to be running around in Vegas.
We all enjoyed the house. Great location, it's near of everything. The house was clean and ordered. WIFI was great. I liked all the conviniences in the house. I recommande it.
Nicolas is quick to respond to all messages and provides excellent details about the house. The house itself is very 70s - from the shag carpet to the bathroom sinks in the main bedroom to the kitchen - but highly functional with lots of space. Great back yard porch to watch all the happenings on the golf course!
Five of us had a delightful three overnights in Nicolas's house. The location was convenient to everything we needed. (However if there was a really good super market nearby we didn't find it!) The house is roomy and comfortable. The patio facing the golf course made for a beautiful view and breakfast location. Beds were comfortable, kitchen reasonably outfitted, and bath linens were in abundance. The washer and dryer were an added bonus. Wish we could return regularly. Only snafu was that upon arrival the door lock combination did not work so we waited over an hour for someone to come let us in but after that smooth sailing! Thanks for your prompt help with this matter Nicolas.
Just have a fantastic stay in Nicolas house. We can highly recommend that! :)
Four of us stayed in Nic's pad in Vegas for two nights on our way thorough to LA. We really enjoyed our stay at this old-school 60s Vegas villa! If you want to stay in a sweet place with a bit of character and history that's a little cheaper, and you're not worried about much else then this would be a good place to start.
The house was awesome and great location from where we needed to be.
Honestly I felt so Vegas when I was there. Some may say the house is old, I say its vintage and cool.
Nicolas was available quick and responsive. WIFI was awesome and the look of the place was better.
I definitely will be staying there again, of course if Nicolas approves.
Thank you Nicolas!
Nicolas was a great guest! Very clean and responsive! Definitely look forward to having him stay again.
