The area of the room is perfect, really perfect and so easy to find, great transport links anywhere in Boston and some great local bars and restaurants. The room its self is a reasonable size and generally comfortable, the AC however was very loud and a little worrying at times. The rest of the property was basic but mostly pretty clean. I was never able to meet my host and therefore cannot comment on this. Overall this was a positive stay.
Thank you. Sorry I was not able to meet you. I am there in the morning around 10-12, if there is no request, I do not knock at guests doors. besides it is the time you are at work. Hope you will return. Ma Sang
I booked the room for my mother and sister, and both of them loved the room. It's very clean, spacious, and the location is perfect (Brookline is very safe and it's 2 min. away from the subway, yet very quietly located). The room comes fully equipped including a big fridge, microwave, and AC (important since the room is in the attic. Ma Sang is an extremely friendly person and tries best to meet all needs. Check-in/-out is very well organized and flexible. Ma Sang provides a list with helpful reminders.
Thank you. I will change the code more often. Thank you for the chocolate!
This room is an apartment of a larger guest house, with a communal kitchen (including a coffee machine and book-swap) and laundry room. Apartment 4 is self-sustained and exactly as in the images. It was a lovely place to stay and Yue Jin Ma was an attentive host, who responds quickly to text messages and any issues. The guest house (Marion Inn) is a quick walk to the Green T C line, and all the restaurants and conveniences of Coolidge Corner. It was also a short walk to the Longwood Medical precinct and some nice running tracks. I would recommend the rooms at Marion Inn (see Yue Jin Ma's other listings also), especially the self-contained rooms such as room 4.
The description is accurate. The accommodations are basic, but for the price and location, I don't think you can do much better. The microwave and minifridge in the room are greatly appreciated, as is the wifi and TV. The host was extremely flexible with check-in and check-out. I really liked the neighbourhood; there were many options for groceries and restaurants.
Thank you for your nice words. Yes, as of now, our contractors are fixing the roof. It should take care of the leaking in the bathroom.
Hope you will come back.
It was nice. Thank you
Thank you for staying at Marion Inn
This is a large room not far away from the green line station. It's very convenient to have a trip to Boston downtown area. And it is easy to find different styles of food on Beacon st. and Harved st near this house. Finally, the host is nice and helpful.
very welcoming and accommodating! ma sang was a great host who did his best to make my first winter in brookline as comfortable as possible. stayed here for almost five months and never had a major problem with the place.
Ma Sang was the perfect host: He was always available via phone or email, and the property was well-managed.
The location was perfect for our needs, in a quiet area yet close to the T and amenities at Coolidge Corner. The room was also very nicely decorated and more spacious than we had expected. There is a decent-sized sitting room with an attached closet, a corner sink, a small dining area with a cafe table and two chairs, as well as space for a couch and television. Many decorative accent pieces and ornaments added a tasteful aesthetic to the room. The adjoining bedroom contained a queen bed, a study table and a large dresser cabinet. The attached bathroom was modern and functional. Room 3 was also directly opposite a shared kitchen, where we had access to a stove and a coffee machine.
We had a wonderful time staying at the property and highly recommend it.
Ma Sung, the host, was prompt and responsive in making arrangements, providing check-in details, etc. We connected several times via email, phone. Although I did not meet him, he is available to handle anything that requires his attention and very pleasant.
The exterior of the house looks circa 1900. Room 3 is actually a 2 room suite with a private bathroom / shower and kitchenette/frig. Bedroom is exactly as shown. All vintage furniture throughout but comfortable and clean. Nice quiet Brookline neighborhood, no noise during my stay.
The big draw for me was proximity to the T. The Summit Street T stop on Beacon street is just steps away (Green line - Cleveland Circle).
Sorry, the window is going to be replaced when we have money to renovate the room. We plan to do it this year. Hope all the windows will be replaced next time you visit us. Thank you Ma Sang
It was my first Airbnb experience, and turned out the best one. Having had lived in Boston area more than 10 years some time ago, I can tell you the location for this place was so convenient that there is nothing you can ask for more. Seven-eleven in just next to the building, and walgreen and many ethnic restaurants are nearby, not to mention of Metro green line being few steps away.
The owner was very kind, and prompt to respond to your questions. I highly recommend this place!!!
