I am from Dublin. The house has been in my family since the early 1970's. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

We felt right at home in Barry's cottage. We were welcomed with a lovely brown bread and lots of firewood. This is a peaceful cottage, where the nearest neighbors are cows. It is extremely quiet, and has all the updated amenities a modern family requires. It is clean and cosy, perfect for our family dinner and a peaceful nights sleep. Close to Ardara (Nancy's pub!) but tucked into the woods, it's an ideal escape, and exactly what we expected traditional Ireland to feel like. Thank you Barry-it was better than I had anticipated-We Love your cottage.
Spent a week in this really lovely remote cottage. Wood burning stove, with a shed full of timber which was very generous. No Tv or wi-fi so easy to properly unwind without these brainless distractions!
Excellent kitchen facilities, no washing machine, which personally wasn't a problem but might be if you have kids or staying longer.
Closeby is Ardara, a quaint village with some good pubs. Sadly we were out of season for the food in the famous Nancys bar. Very friendly and helpful locals, felt like a very safe part of the world.
This cottage is located off the N56 so everywhere is easily accessed.
Barry (email hidden)! Highly recommend this cottage
Great cottage, very comfortable and cosy. Lots of character and some great books on local area to read.
The cottage was lovely, and the perfect home base for my family in Co. Donegal. Barry (email hidden), great with communication, and had a local caretaker nearby in case anything arose. We were welcomed to fridge staples and lovely scones. The kitchen is brand new, and was really convenient for when we wanted to eat at home. The house feels remote, tucked away into a lovely private area, but it's close to the town of Ardara as well as many local beaches and attractions. Thanks for the great stay!
