I am a Finnish computer scientist / software designer in the second half of my 20s, and finally making up for the several years of studying by travelling to places I've yearned to see. I tend to like dense cities with good public transportation and a bit of character: Seattle, Vancouver, Tokyo and Berlin are some of my favorites. Then again, I can definitely enjoy a serene and beautiful natural location when I am at one - as I guess I'm supposed to, being Finnish and everything. Usually I get more of the former when I'm traveling with my architect-to-be girlfriend, and more of the latter when I'm road tripping with my friends.
When I travel, I travel as much for the food as for the location. While I'm not really a big fan of fine dining, well-crafted local specialties are a must, especially if accompanied by a good microbrew. Sushi has been a long-time favorite.
I don't have a pet and I don't smoke, but lately I have started to form a habit of riding pretty much everywhere on my faithful cyclocrosser. I also play disc golf whenever the weather permits, which isn't really that much here in Finland, and I like to take a small disc bag with me to try a local course or two when I travel to places.
