Owner of two vacation rentals
La Luna is a beautiful, comfortable and clean cabin with a gracious host. We loved the views, building a fire and relaxing in the hot tub while star gazing. It was also a hit with our dog! We will be back and highly recommend the property!
We had an incredible stay at the El Sol Cabin. The cabin itself is located a bit off the beaten path which sets the stage for seclusion and separation from the stress of everyday life. Once inside the cabin is extremely relaxing, warm and inviting. Everything was clean and matched the description perfectly. We loved the hot tub, full kitchen and fireplace. Definitely a trip we would love to repeat!
Melissa is a great host! The cabin is amazing, with great hill country views! We will definitely be going back.
We had a great time at this cute, charming, cabin. It have everything we needed for a perfect getaway. Beautiful views, great jacuzzi, very clean. Melissa was very helpful and helped us with anything we needed.
Fantastic place to stay. Quiet and serene, and host goes out of her way to provide what you need.
We absolutely loved our weekend stay! Every item we might have needed was available right down to firestarters and wood for the cozy wood-burning stove. The cabin was wonderfully quiet and private despite there being other buildings on the property. I'm certain this cabin has inspired more than one visitor to dream of building one just like it someday - it certainly inspired us!
This is a fantastic country get-away from city life. Peaceful and secluded, but a fully equipped cabin making our stay very easy and relaxing. You can watch deer wander through the huge open space that surrounds the cabin. Melissa was incredibly responsive and a perfect person to book with.
This was our first Airbnb experience and the El Sol cabin more than exceeded our expectations. The cabin had the rustic privacy we were hoping for with plenty of creature comforts for the camping averse. We really enjoyed watching the sun rise over the trees each morning and soaking in the hot tub under the stars. Although we mostly unplugged, the wifi and satellite TV with XM radio worked flawlessly, as did our cell phones. We appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout - everything from necessities you might not think of, like flashlights, a first aid kit, and condiments, to fun stuff like horseshoes, a poker set, and champagne flutes. The cabin is a great base for exploring hill country: the town of Wimberley is just minutes away (with a really nice HEB for supplies and gas), while Jester King Brewery is a short scenic drive and a must if you enjoy beer and wood-fired pizza. The only thing that didn't work so well for us was the fact that there really wasn't any sort of trail or clearing for us to walk or play fetch with our dog, and we didn't feel comfortable letting her off leash due to critters, spikey plants, etc (she's a spoiled suburban house dog, but used to a lot of long walks and fetch sessions). We mostly resorted to walking her in a loop around the cabin for potty breaks as she sniffed every leaf and lizard. She absolutely loved it though, and there are walking opportunities close by in town (look for a gravel jogging path along the roadway by the big church and a nature trail that runs along the river at the park near Inoz Brews and Chews).
El Sol is a wonderful place to stay. The cabin is located on a property with a view of the whole area. The outside is quite rustic but the inside is super comfortable and really just perfect. It is a place where you can pretend that you are far away from civilization or you can be in Wimberley in minutes. It is really a great cabin!
When we found this cabin we were looking a solid place to decompress from planning our wedding. What we ended up experiencing was so far out and far beyond that. El Sol cabin is a slice of heaven tucked away in the hills with about anything you ask for. From the Weber One Touch grill which is my absolute favorite to grill food on to the tranquility of lying on hammock to the kitchen stocked with anything you might need to prepare a wonderful meal to the shower which puts my big city shower head to shame. This place is freaking awesome. The line of communication with the owner was always open given we had a minor hiccup with Jacuzzi. Also being detached from any major road or source of noise made it so peaceful and relaxing. Wimberley was about 5 minutes away if you wanted to do any shopping, dining or site seeing. We will definitely be returning.
Melissa and her family were wonderful guests and welcome back anytime. Thanks Melissa!
