Thank you for the review, but I just want to clarify few things as I genuinely care about my guests and always try to make their stay pleasant. Therefore, your review doesn't seem to give realistic picture of my work.
1. This is the first time ever that someone had a bad experience (we have been renting for more than 20 years) and you can see all the other reviews on Airbnb, just like you can see the photos showing the house is not new. However, I personally always double check in order to make sure all the apartments are clean.
2. I am sorry if you, your family or friends got the impression that me or my family were dishonest towards you. In comparison to being accommodated in a hotel, a part of Airbnb experience is to have a personal contact with a host every now and then, which is why me and my family opted for Airbnb in the first place.
Truth is, I didn't offer you this apartment as you found it and booked it yourself. Regarding kitchen, I am sorry that you had bad weather conditions that made you stay in apartment - which at that moment seemed to you as too small, while you were the one who chose it among all the others, trying to get a discount and asking if you can also bring a dog on top of it – which I agreed with. Nevertheless, you had two tables for dining outside in a garden at your service.
3. The dishwasher wasn't broken before you came. Unfortunately, these things happen and since it was Saturday when it happened, we couldn't get the needed part before Monday - so instead of fixing it, we brought you a brand new dishwasher on Sunday.
4. As the house is quite old, the walls are very thick, therefore it is impossible to hear someone walking in high heels (plus, I am pretty sure that the guests in the apartment upstairs that went to the festival did not wear heels as the event was situated in nature).
My working motto is to always make my guests satisfied, so I am very much sorry that you didn't say anything sooner - if you had told me right then and there that you are not satisfied, I would give you your money back and help you find another apartment.
I wish you more pleasant experiences in Croatia in future, hopefully next time you will book bigger apartment that will suit your family’s needs better.
