Hey there, Airbnb community!
I'm Kelly! I'm a current resident of the great city of San Francisco, and love waking up in the bay area every morning. I'm endlessly curious, a sometimes adventure-seeker (jumping out of planes is my new main jam), nature-lover (as long as it comes with a nice hot shower at the end of the day), and all around go-getter (I have a self made promise to get to every continent by the time I'm 30 (2 more to go!)). I spent 5 years learning and having fun at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo (my favorite place on earth) where I majored in Political Science and minored in leisure management (aka, partying), then moved up to the Bay to work for an amazing environmental non-profit for another 5 years. Not wanting to leave, but knowing that I should, I took three months off from the daily grind and went exploring around the world- visiting my Dad, who lives in Vietnam, trekking through the ancient ruins of Angkor Wat and learning how to cook my own Pad Thai in Thailand, snorkeling the reefs in Bali, and exploring the great down under- skydiving and swimming with wild dolphins in the open pacific ocean off the coast of New Zealand. I'm back in the bay area working at Square, but it goes without saying that I'll never stop exploring.
While I'm technically 'new' to Airbnb, having just created my own profile recently, I've had the good fortune of staying at many Airbnb accommodations around the world! My mother (a travel writer) and I travel together frequently and often times, I do the research about which Airbnb accommodation we should stay at and she does the booking. Not a bad set up if I do say so myself.
Hope our paths, wherever in the world they may be, cross in the future!
