Aaron Brown is currently enrolled as a full-time graduate student at the Monterey Institute of International Studies (MIIS). He is pursuing a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Linguistics. In addition to the MATESOL Aaron is also taking courses for a certification in Language Program Administration (LPA), which is training him in language teacher training.
Aaron is currently serving as a project manager in a curriculum design project for World Teach Marshall Islands. Through this process, Aaron has become experienced and knowledgeable in needs assessment of the participants involved (i.e., students, teachers, and field directors), followed by the practical execution of these discovered needs.
Aaron is heavily invested in the interest of empowering students, through language, in developing countries; thus, he is taking development courses concurrently with TESOL courses. He hopes to make good use of the language education and educational development courses and skills he has obtained as a post-graduate student.
