I run a training and eBook publishing business (primarily in communication, innovation, and curriculum design), which has me out on international travel 4-6 months/year -- most of the time in Scandinavia, with a dash of the UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Japan, South Africa, India, and Canada. (There are plenty more, but I'll spare you! And be careful about asking about Travel Disasters, far and wide...)
The rest of my days are spent working and teaching in and around Stanford University, the homebase since 2000. I've also been a housesitter since 1998, which has been a great way to really get a feel of all major regions in the San Francisco Bay Area (and deal with cats, dogs, plants, and more than my share of teenage boys...)
People think I'm wildly organized and super-neat. The less stressed I am, the truer that statement is :) I tend to be pretty independent but love great conversations and exploring backroads with others. I'm also gluten and lactose intolerant, which often means bringing along food I can eat :)
