Superb location in one of the sea location, perhaps, most beautiful in Italy!
Aldo is a very nice and friendly.
Surely when we return in Calabria we will stay again at the Hotel Le Sirene!
Un'esperienza unica per i nostri studenti LUISS. Cortesia, pulizia, un panorama splendido. Un bellissimo B&B. Grazie di cuore
La Locandiera is a very lovely facility right in the heart of the Chianalea district of Scilla. It's not easy to drive to and drop off/pick up but once settled it is close to a number of good places to eat and an easy 10 minutes to the very nice beach area. (When leaving they did arrange a small electric cart to help us take baggage up the hill to our car). The facility has been very excellently remodeled into a very modern set of accommodations while retaining much of the feel of the "place". The owner is obviously a collector, his collections is all over the facility. The breakfast has the basics with some very nice cakes, cornettos and homemade jam. WiFi is available in the lobby. Oh, did I say that the balcony of our 3rd floor room had an incredible view of the sea! A most comfortable, pleasant stay in one of the most lovely Italian seaside resorts I've seen.
More of a boutique hotel than a B&B. Rooms range in size from huge to tiny: most have a balcony with personal clothes lines, including pegs, and a view. Fully appointed bathroom with fluffy robes and very clean. Generous continental breakfast (good coffee!). Location is very atmospheric but is halfway down a steep hill, towards the port and waterfront. There is no vehicle access for non-residents, but the owner did drive us down with our bags, and the hotel staff assisted with taking the bags back up. Parking for visitor vehicles is available only at the piazza at the top. Numerous restaurants nearby, all specialising in fresh seafood.
