Hi, We are Malcolm and Venetia...
Malcolm is a semi-retired academic (University Lecturer) and we moved to Scotland about 4 years ago. We have a lovely home (ex-farmhouse) and have opened it up for Bed and Breakfast guests. We both love entertaining and started our little business two years ago and got some rave reviews both on here and on Trip Advisor! So far we've hosted Americans, Germans, Dutch, Danish, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Swedish and French as well as British guests... Malcolm speaks German and French which is a bonus!

Venetia loves to cook and bake, so expect some delicious home made cakes, bread and pies if you decide to stay with us. All the food is home made with fresh, local ingredients where possible and we will try to cater for all dietary requests.
Malcolm is also a published author in Art History and regularly travels to provide talks and lectures about his work... See "The Secret Middle Ages" and "The Print in Early Modern England" on Amazon or Google. He's currently working on Scottish place names.

We love children and have toys and books for them as well as a cot and high chair for babies. We are parents and grandparents and only have one rule about children..... we must be able to 'spoil' them!!! For example, Venetia will make special cakes for them and in the morning, they can fetch their own eggs from the hen coup for breakfast! We have swings in the garden, plenty of room for them to run around and not forgetting the Hot Tub, which is enjoyed by grown ups too!

We also accept dogs and are happy to look after them for the day/evening if guests want to visit somewhere that doesn't allow them.

We very much look forward to welcoming you to Urlarmore!
