Hello reader of this message,
My name is Lies, a dutch lady name short for "Elisabeth". I love to travel in the south of Europe, checking out local ceramic museums and factories. In 2011 my husband Peter and I drove around Italy, Spain and Portugal during a half year sabbatical trip. It was a most wonderful experience and we are missing the nomad life since then forever, although we live in a lovely house in the middle of Holland. We met great people along the way, often helpful and most friendly and we enjoyed their hospitality a lot, as well as tasting regional food and wine. Right now we babysit our three grandchildren, in between teaching ceramics and managing projects at TUD university jobs.. So until retirement we use our -always too short- holidays to fill the gaps on the map. Some day our pics and stories will write a nice guidebook on "Ceramics around the Mediterranee"...!
We hope to meet more interesting people via Airbnb as you'll be welcome in Holland. I'ts quite small but if you know where to go it's a beautiful country too, if you're not afraid of water...
See you around!
