I am a doctoral candidate in mathematics at UC Berkeley.
This summer I traveled to France's Dordogne region, to London, Dubrovnik, Mostar, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Salzburg, Berlin, and Barcelona. The trip would not have been possible without Airbnb.

Arthur is very friendly, helpful, and got the apartment ready on short notice. The studio is located close to the university, walking distance to most everything.
The studio furnishing is fine, and clean, with lots of storage space. I found the mattress too soft - we kept rolling towards the middle of the bed. The studio also seems a bit pricey - the price is similar to a decent motel/hotel but doesn't quite offer the same level of comfort.
Arthur was a great host. Always texting to see if we needed anything, even recommended some cool spots. Area was nice: lots of bars and restaurants. I would definitely stay at his place again.
Arthur was a great host. He was friendly and prompt with every interaction, returning all of my texts immediately. The place was clean and very open - considering it is a studio - so that my girlfriend and I had more than enough room. I would definitely stay with him again, and recommend others to book through Arthur.
I initially thought this was in a different neighborhood, but it was a pleasant surprise. It was also a rare surprise to meet the host in person, Arthur. He was very nice. The location worked out great. (There are also a lot of keys...) One of the inner doors doesn't quite stay closed, but the outer one is fine. The bed is super comfy.
I spent most of the meals eating out... you can't pass up the food in this neighborhood.
Arthur was very helpful throughout our stay and constantly making sure we were happy. The location is great, everything was clean and presentable. Wi-fi was really fast which was handy! Would stay again.
Pro: Centrally located. Nice owner.
Con: on the small side. The futon is in the kitchen
Overall a good experience. Recommended, if you are not to spoiled.
Arthur was a great host. He was very flexible and allowed us to book at the last minute, which was really a life-saver. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and really well located. It was perfect for our stay.
We enjoyed our stay in Arthur's studio. Location is fantastic, very close to downtown Berkeley, and the space was clean and comfortable. Arthur was a very responsive host.
Arthur has a great place right by campus, and really he couldn't be a better host - he thoroughly cleaned the place before I got there, and really made sure I had everything I needed, even checking in the next day to see how everything was going. In the midday sun the apartment can get little warm, but honestly that's the only issue with the place, and a very minor one at that. The bed is comfortable, there is goo sitting space inside out outside, and in general it is a very quiet place.
Good location, very nice!
Arthur has been a great guest, super flexible and polite. He looks and adventurer man with who is interesting to talk to. Speaks Spanish quite well and I had an easy comunication with him. Clean and respectul.
This apartment was everything I could have asked for. Very clean, and amazingly close to everything in downtown Berkeley. It's really at the center of it all! I grabbed a cup of coffee and was at the BART station just five minutes after I'd rolled out of bed. Wonderful deal!
I would be happy to vouch for Arthur, either for someone to consider him as a guest or to use his studio apartment. I have stayed at his studio, and it is cozy and cute. Easy street access yet quiet since it faces the back. Walking distance to everything you can imagine; coffee shops with internet, bars, grocery shopping, and four-star restaurants. The corner location allows two walls to not touch any other tenant's apartments. Arthur is neat and clean and quiet, and his place reflects that!
