My boyfriend and I are both performers and comedians. I work during the day in the loop and keep busy with shows in the evenings and weekends. We love Chicago and want you to enjoy your time here!

We were there for almost a week and rarely saw Caitlin and John; when we did see them, they were both friendly and helpful. The location was great and we always felt safe.
John and Kaitlin were great hosts. They were very easy-going and low-key and made us feel right at home. Their place is very close to the L, which made things easy.
I stayed here Friday-Tuesday with a friend while in town apartment hunting and job interviewing. Caitlin was extremely accommodating. The apartment and room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The apt is also a short 5 min walk to the L train which was extremely beneficial. We were able to use the kitchen, ironing board, washer/dryer, and she was very gracious in telling us to help ourself to coffee and breakfast items. She leaves a list of recommendations for the city and neighborhood...got food and craft (email hidden) on Buena right around the corner...fabulous food and atmosphere with great price! I had a very comfortable time here with a convenient location, I would highly recommend it!
We had a short trip to Chicago and stayed at Caitlin's place. It was nice, clean, and had everything you need. They went out of town so we had the place to ourselves for a few nights. I usually don't sleep well at other people's places, but I surprisingly had a great nights rest there. Their spot is about 2-3 blocks from the train, which is very accessible and about 15-20 mins to Downtown. I felt really safe in the neighborhood, there were people walking home at different hours of the night, and a bar and CVS or Walgreens just down the street.
Everything in Caitlin's description/photos of her place is exactly as advertised. We were able to take the 'L' to their place and had a very short walk with our luggage from the station. We were also there to attend a Cubs game, and their apartment is only 1/2 mile from Wrigley. So convenient! Both Caitlin and John were very flexible and responsive to whatever inquiries we had before and during our stay. Though available to us, we didn't utilize the kitchen amenities as we were eager to try local food/restaurants. Also, there was never an issue accessing the bathroom, and I oftentimes wasn't even sure they were there. So quiet and non-intrusive, but also very friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend!
To anyone considering this location, if you're used to a king bed, this bed will definitely feel much smaller. We were still more than comfortable, though. Also as a tip, if you're not used to city life or apartment living, I recommend sleeping with ear plugs or bringing something to add white noise to the room. I don't want to give them impression it's bad, but if you are used to a quiet slumber, the sounds of the city can disrupt your sleep. We planned for it and were fine.
We would definitely stay again! We loved Chicago, and Caitlin and John were very hospitable hosts.
Caitlin and John were great hosts. The room was comfy and close to what we wanted to do. It was only about a 15 minute walk to Wrigley Field so we avoided all the traffic. We felt very safe walking around the area. There's a great pub around the block from their home with good food, great beer, and nice people. Also, the lake is only a few blocks away. The only down side is that street parking is scarce and you have to pay attention to the posted signs. Would recommend you get there during the day and claim a good spot before people get off work. Then walk or take the train where you want to go.
The room was actually smaller than the photos showed, which did not really bother us since we did not spend much time in the room. But you gotta watch out for the sharp edge of the bed; I had 2 bruises on my legs because of it. I specifically love the fact that the refrigerator was always well-stocked and that made our stomach full when we leave the apt every morning. Oh the location was awesome by the way; the CTA red line took you to most of the place and it's a 24-hour operation!
I stayed with Caitlin and her partner John for three nights en route from San Francisco to Boston by rail. I had a really comfortable room in their (wi-fi enabled!) apartment which was just five minutes walk from Sheridan on the Red Line and a short distance from some great cafes, bars, restaurants and food stores. There was even a theater within 10 minutes walk! I had a memorable few days in Chicago during which time I went to my first baseball game (John is a big fan of the Cardinals and explained the rules to me), and an improv show. A memorable stay with hospitable hosts.
We absolutely loved staying with Caitlin and John! The house was spotless and quiet. They were both extremely helpful and friendly. The apartment is in a prime location in Chicago, I will be staying here again for sure when I am back in Chicago :)
Absolutely LOVELY people in every way! It was great to meet up with some other airbnb hosts - and these two were really smart, chic, interesting and organized! Highly recommend them both!!!
