We were welcomed at the house by a friend of Leslie's who explained everything we needed to know about the house and neighborhood. The house was very clean and stocked with towels, and fresh water. The roof terrace is gorgeous and a great place to have a glass of wine or read a book. Close to restaurants, el centro and the grocery store, the house is perfectly located in a friendly neighborhood. Leslie thinks of everything, even arranging for a driver to meet us at the airport. We loved it!
Leslie was a most responsive and lovely hostess. The casita is beautifully decorated, the bed on the second floor is heavenly and the terrace on the third floor overlooks the twinkling lights of SMA at night. Absolutely lovely and highly recommended! Sylvia

I am very sorry to cancel this reservation Donna but I am sure you have plenty of time to find another lovely and suitable place to stay.
Thank you very much!
The casita is exactly as represented and Leslie walked us through all the pertinent info over the phone. So even though she wasn't around, her communication was great. The location is great too. The San Antonio area is removed enough to be quiet and yet only 10-15 min walk to The Jardin and Juarez Park. Orizaba is also a good transportation route within the city, so catching a cab or bus is easy. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large stove and a large cold fridge, so cooking, if you're into it, is great; though some sharp knives would be appreciated. The top floor with its deck, french doors and skylight is a wonderful perch to hang out in
The only real negative was that the top floor roof leaks during heavy rains. An unusual 2 day deluge, had us setting out pots and pans to catch the drips which otherwise would have dripped onto the bed. But from all accounts, this was a very unusual storm, and the gas heaters were a God-send! Internet was solid and speedy too.
We got a good orientation from Leslie's assistant, and the place was just as described/ shown in photos.
During our stay, the water heater died and Leslie was responsive- it got replaced as soon as stores were open (its demise was on a weekend). We needed a fireplace pilot lit (we got a cold snap during our stay) and that was done quickly.
Thank you again Dina for being so understanding about the hot water (email hidden)d I will ask Airbnb to credit you with a discount for those days.
Leslie was prompt in returning calls about any questions I had and I appreciated that. The casita was pleasant and comfortable and the location was convenient in terms of getting into the heart of the city. The access to Wi Fi was excellent and this was important to me. I would rent this casita again and recommend it to others.
Great house! It's perfect for a couple. Very clean and well furnished. The patio on the third floor is wonderful and we ate out there often. Highly recommend this house. We really enjoyed our stay!
Leslie responded quickly and thoughtfully to emails. I didn't get to meet her, but her helper gave a me thorough orientation to the house. House was clean. Great location for getting around on foot. House is as shown in pictures- very pretty. It was unseasonably cool during my visit and the house was a bit chilly, especially down stairs. It is very vertical so consider that you must be comfortable with stairs.
My husband and I loved our time at Casita Mitu. Leslie was wonderfully helpful and communicative from the planning phase through our stay. Casita Mitu is just as charming as it appears in the photos. It was the perfect resting spot for mid-day siestas, and we enjoyed watching the waning light over the city from its little third-floor deck.
The home's location, a brief walk to the center, was perfect as it invited us to explore other parts of the city, especially the growing neighborhood around Instituto Allende.
We can't say enough good things about Casita Mitu, and we hope to return!
Yes, the the 1st floor fireplace works beautifully...the pilot was off since it doesn[t get used until December for the winter months generally...In any case, I look forwrd to meeting you next time and show you how to turn it on.
