We stayed in Brasilito for one night and this was a great place to stay. It is right on the ocean, with an open to the air restaurant that has amazing breezes through it at all times of day and evening. The rooms are set just a little apart from this restaurant area and are clean, neat, with everything you need, including large modern tiled shower and two double beds. Our room faced the small courtyard area and was just steps away from the open air restaurant. The hotel is close to everything in this small town and the beach is very beautiful with rocky coast, a few rocky islands out there that break up the horizon in an interesting way, and it connects to beaches on both sides that are also beautiful. Shelley was very helpful with all of our questions and a delight to work with... Scott and I had several interesting, enjoyable conversations with her. Wonderful, all around!
a really simple place. overall experience has benn very nice and all the people at the hotel and restaurant was very very nice and smiley!! Just a small note: if you could put one more eye on the aesthetic aspect of the garden it would gain a lot more (e.g. we were staying right on the top of a stair ramp in the garden... there was a dog's poo at the bottom of it that nobody washed off for 4 days...)
Very nice little place on the beach. If you're going to Brasilito, you can't go wrong staying here.
My husband and I were so glad that we chose to go and stay in Hotel Brasilito. I considered this as a boutique hotel - beautiful and clean. We could hear the waves of the ocean right from our room. You get the best of both worlds here: you have playa brasilito which has a fine gray sand beach which offers a touch to local experience and less than a mile walk you will be in playa conchal which has a fine white sand and shells. Playa conchal beach front is occupied by the huge Westin hotel in the area, so if you're on a budget and you also want to witness the most beautiful sunset as an extra perk, then I highly recommend you go for Hotel Brasilito. Their objective is for you to have a stress free vacay so expect no tv in your room. Although you can go to El Oasis restaurant which serves as a common area where you can connect to wifi while lounging in their beach front chairs. Breakfast is not included in the room rate however, i found their prices very reasonable. There's a "soda" and "super" nearby as well. The only issue i had was the disco-type business across the restaurant cause they can really be loud at night. However if you're not that hear-sensitive, this should not be a problem. On the other hand, Shelley and her daughter were very helpful when we were trying to arrange our transfer from Brasilito to Monteverde. For some reason when I logged into Grayline car/bus service site, the hotel's name was not coming up so we decided to seek their help, it was promptly taken care of. Overall, our trip to Brasilito was my hubby's fave leg. We really hope to be back real soon. Pura Vida!
This is a great little hotel with the best location in town. If you want luxury go elsewhere. If you want simple, clean, affordable, great location, all you really need, and the experience of being in a real Costa Rican town, this is a great place. It is a very easy walk to beautiful Playa Conchal. Could not have a better location for access to the bars and restaurants of Brasilito. Unfortunately, it was the end of my trip when I figured out the best place in town to relax and enjoy a beer is the lounge chairs at the front of the hotel.
This hotel was not for me. It was very loud and I could hear people in the alley behind the room gambling all night then i was woken up by the roosters at 4:30 am. Great location and the restaurant was good, but over priced. No wifi in rooms that are in the back.
My children and I really enjoyed our stay at Shelley-Anne's hotel. The hotel was very convenient to the beaches in that area. Brasilito beach is just across the street less than 1 minute walk. Conchal beach is about a 5 minute walk and another nice beach Flamingo in about a 5 minute car ride. The room was spacious for the 4 of use and very clean. There was a good variety of places to eat and the people in the area were friendly. This would be an area and a hotel that i would go back to on my next visit to Costa Rica. One thing to note is to find the hotel with GPS you need to use the actual hotel name Hotel Brasilito and not the Air BnB title Ocean front rooms in Brasilito.
If you need a clean, affordable place to stay, this is your place. Very tidy place to stay. I would fully recommend this as command base, as it has a lot of good places near by (Tamarindo, Conchal, Flamigo, etc). Lovely restaurant with a home-y feeling.
My husband and I absolutely loved Hotel Brasilito.. so much so that we want to move there in the near future!
Shelly was awesome, always helpful, the staff were courteous and polite and went out of their way to make our stay wonderful...I loved the resteraunt, the food was the best in Brasilito. The beach was literally across the street from the hotel..we enjoyed the beautiful sunsets, enjoyed the wonderful snorkeling at the adjacent Conchal beach (just a 10 minute walk) ... overall the best vacation we have ever had!! Would highly recommend it to all ...have already passed the word to some friends who will be visiting there next month!
Hotel Brasilito provided a basic but clean room. We stayed in the Ocean front room for the first 3 nights and then moved to a room with a garden view.
The ocean front rooms were slightly bigger but pretty much the same as the garden rooms. Quite honestly, you can only see a very small portion of the ocean from the room. I felt like it was quieter in the back rooms as well. There are an abundance of hens and roosters next door. And they definitely do not only cockadoodledo during sunrise, but pretty much 24hours. They are VERY loud.
I love Hotel Brasilito for its convenience. A very short walk to Playa Conchal, a short drive to Playa Flamingo, Grande and Tamarindo. You can probably just skip Playa Brasilito.
The staff was very friendly and the rooms always very clean!
