Jason's place was great. I visited SF for the first time with a couple of guy friends (also new to the city) and we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Location is great- you are 3 blocks from the BART, which is a great (quicker) underground transportation that gets you around the city and across the bay. You are also near multiple MUNI stops that take you all over the city with numerous stops. Lastly, you are only a few blocks (t have been more happy with our stay. Thanks so much Jason! I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the city and would highly recommend this place to anyone else looking to stay in a cool neighborhood and to be centrally located with easy access to the whole city for a trip to SF.
A great place to stay just around the corner from Zeitgeist (a great bar) and walking distance to Mission Beach Cafe, Four Barrel Coffee and everything else Mission has to offer.
The flat was exactly as described, check-in a breeze, and the bed and sofa were both very comfortable. It's a quite street so you'll sleep well, we did. We enjoyed our stay, and whilst we were extremely busy with work meetings around town, it was always good to have a home to come back to at the end of each day. That's how it felt... like a home away from home.
Jason responded very quickly to all my enquiries before booking and did his best to be able to accommodate my 15-day stay at his apartment. The apartment is located a 10 minutes-walk from 16th & Mission BART station, and within walking distance to Muni at Van Ness. It is not in the fanciest part of the Mission and can get a bit spooky at night, but that's pretty common in other SF areas too. All streets around 16th & Mission are populated with homeless people, but they are not to be afraid of.
The apartment is located on the ground floor facing both the street and the building yards, and is exactly as seen in the pictures: big sofa, big tv and nice queen bed (too stiff for a plush/pilllowtop lover like me). Kitchen is fully equipped, including dishwasher and top-notch microwave (what I didn't like was to find halfway-used food in the fridge, such as open milk or rotten cheese). A second door in the bathroom leads directly to the common building patio, garbage yard and very conveniently to the laundry room, just a few steps away from the apartment. There is a closet in the bathroom for guest use, but it was fully occupied by Jason's stuff during my stay, so I had to keep all my stuff in the suitcase on the floor, as there was no other storage space available.
The place could use some thorough cleaning, but if you don't care about that you can just enjoy the lightning fast internet connection and connect a laptop to the gorgeous 42" TV. Or even better, go for a tour at the SF Armory building, a combination of historic building and home of an adult movie film studios, just a 1-minute walk from the apartment.
A lovely part of the mission and a nice getaway :)
My two favorite neighborhoods in SF are the Mission along Valencia St and Hayes Valley. Jason's apartment is well suited for enjoying both areas and being a short cab away from most anywhere else in the city.
The apartment is cozy, but well outfitted to make it a nice home away from home. Easy check in/out procedure added to the overall ease of our stay.
Jason was a fantastic host. I couldn't find a room at a hotel near the conference I attended in San Francisco. He accommodated my request to stay at hi s place in less than 24 hours. He very promptly responded to every question and need I had. His unit was clean and had everything I needed to enjoy a great conference weekend.
Jason was great about getting back to me and checking in when he got the keys to my place. Sadly, I didn't get to meet him and his girlfriend, but they were reliable, responsible...I would have no hesitation in having him stay again!
It was great having you as a guest. Sorry about the internet , usually it's much faster. I will look into that. Hoped you enjoyed the city.
I recommend Jason! He stayed for the festival of "Sant Joan" in our apartment in Barcelona and he was a good guest! Great couple!
A last minute stay that I'm very happy worked out! Jason was lickety split in his responses and he and his lovely lady friend were very easy guests. I was away for the night and they took very good care of my space. I'd have them stay again in a heartbeat ... but hopefully they're moving to the Bay Area in the meantime!! :-)
Jason and Jocelyn were great guests and know they enjoyed Chez Panisse! They were busybusybusy and left the studio tidy - come
Great guest - friendly and tidy! I appreciated his quick correspondence.
Jason couldnt come because of a last minute setback...but he was a very nice person in all our contacts before.I hope that his arrival here is only..postponed ..:)
Awesome young intelligent action-packed couple with a wonderful energy, respectful, clean and kind. It just keeps getting better!!!!
I went to high school with Jason, though we also lived together for a year. He's a great friend and he was a fantastic roommate - thoughtful, courteous, and fun. Can't recommend him highly enough.
