I am a college professor in Portland, Oregon, where I teach social work and sociology to undergraduates. My professional interests were shaped by living and working in Mexico and Central America and then more than ten years of work with immigrant communities in the U.S. I like coffee, cooking for friends, hiking, and cycling on the weekends. I practice yoga regularly and I recently enjoyed Barbara Kingsolver's new book about climate change, monarchs, and unrequited love. I am excited to share my home with travelers and provide a comfortable, quiet place for you to call home while exploring the joys of this city.
