I am a 60 year old New Zealander who has lived in Australia for 37 years. I lived in Darwin in the Northern Territory for 29 years and moved to Canberra at the end of 2009. I have two sons, one of whom lives in Qld and one who lives in Sydney. I live by myself and resigned from the public service in March 2014. As a young man I worked as a diver on the Thames Barrier in London but have never seen the completed structure. I follow sport and international affairs with interest and belong to tennis and golf clubs. I do voluntary work, write bits and pieces and fiddle around on the ukulele.
I hope that by hosting I can meet a diverse range of people from around the globe. I enjoy all sorts of music and like to read history books and novels and listen to documentaries and plays on the radio. My degrees are in biological science and journalism. I enjoy a glass of wine and a wide-ranging conversation.
