Hi, I'm a writer and small business owner in San Francisco.

Veronica's apartment is small but very cosy. If you want to stay in a lively neighborhood with lots of restaurants and close to a Bartender station then this is the place. The conversation with Veronica was always a pleasure even though we only used the Airbnb built-in messaging. I recommend this apartment to people who travel alone and enjoy having true local experience.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Great place that served us well. Location is right in the heart of the Mission on 24th St. We were comfortable in the apartment, perfect size for a couple spending a few days in SF. Not too noisy, given the location on 24th.
Veronica was always easy to reach by telephone. The location is indeed really convenient (BART train direct from SFO and for Downtown), and the Neighborhood is very cosmopolitan and much alive with cafés, stores, restaurants... (i.e. the Thai one downstairs is good and affordable).
The apartment is quite charming, consistent with the description, and particularly quiet, overlooking a sunny courtyard, which could be better arranged between neighbors; maybe a chair or a stool to enjoy a drink on the doorstep is missing?!
It will suit those who like to feel "at home", in an apartment that has "lived". Veronica has left many personal belongings visible (decor, books ...). The kitchen is properly equipped, the microwave is not lacking. The bathroom is very decent too.
Like many old houses in San Francisco, the apartment is not suitable for people with walking difficulties: stairs to climb, step over bath...
These qualities necessarily have a price, but competitive with other offers, not to mention hotels.
In summary, it is quite recommendable.
After relocating to San Francisco for a new job on short notice, I stayed at Veronica's place for about a month while I looked for a more permanent spot. The apartment had everything I needed; it was comfortable, cozy, and clean. It's also in the heart of the neighborhood -- just steps from restaurants, bars, and groceries -- yet its still very quiet as the windows do not face the street. Veronica was extremely responsive when coordinating key pickup and during my stay when minor questions/issues came up. Definitely would recommend this apartment.
Cannot recommend this place. I booked for one month, and Veronica cancelled the first two days of my stay the day before I was supposed to arrive, and then cancelled the third day with less than one day's notice. I'm still waiting for a refund more than a month later.
Aside from that, the place is nice, but it's very much someone's home which is a little creepy. For example, there were two half empty bottles of wine in the fridge when I arrived and someone else's makeup in the bathroom. I never met Veronica, so I felt like a bit of an interloper.
I stayed at Veronica’s apartment for two weeks when visiting San Francisco. It is situated in a very vibrant area of the Mission with lots of cool shops and cafés. It is also very convenient to hop on Bart, which is only two blocks away. The apartment itself is clean, cozy and has a cool vibe. I loved it and would definitely stay here again!
We were told just 2 hours before the stay that the room would not be available for the first night after all and we'd have to come back the next afternoon. We were promised a refund for that day but haven't yet received it. The internet went down during the stay and it turned out to be an unpaid bill. The host did not pay it so we had to pay it ourselves; the host later said she would reimburse us but has not yet done so. Other than this two issues, there were many many other smaller issues too numerous to list here. Really shoddy way to treat guests - not the kind of thing that gives airbnb a good name. All our other airbnb hosts had always been terrific, so I guess in this case we just got a bad break...
Great location, lovely apartment, and Veronica was very helpful. Will be back!
