My family of four were very satisfied with our 2 week stay. The host was available and responsive to all of our needs. The apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. The area was very convenient to restaurants, stores and public transportation. Highly recommended!
It was actually not Jennifer but Denise who was our host, as the apartment is part of some kind of rental business they seem to have together. That said, Denise was very professional and friendly throughout our stay and communicating with her was easy.
The apartment itself is exactly what the pictures look like. Very clean and no signs of anyone actually living there, a bit un-personal - which is nice as it quickly makes you feel that you are not intruding in someones home and can relax. Beds are comfy. Good location with only two blocks from the metro station, the neighbourhood is really cool with a lot of bars and restaurants to visit (Schillers is great for breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening) grocery shops nearby, and walking distance to soho, china town, the rest of east village and to access Williamsburg via the Williamsburg bridge around the corner.
Walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the rest of the apartment and the outside hallway. But that said it's an apartment in a huge city with a lot of stuff going on so you better get used to hearing other people, so we didn't really mind. And it wasn't unusually loud in any way.
The only thing we where missing was some lights for the patio in the evening so we could sit outside and have a drink - it got pretty dark out there.
The reservation was canceled 9 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
The apartment is perfect for a couple with a small bathroom, a nice kitchen and a generous bedroom/bed. Such a nice garden to have your morning coffee in! We spent many hours there reading, having coffee and socializing with the cat. :)
We visited in April/May when the whole neighborhood was blossoming and we really appreciated the well kept, tidy apartment. Denise, who met up with us to give us the keys, was really helpful. Wifi and linens/towels included and plenty of closet space.
A few notes: There are plenty of subways nearby, the closest ones being Hoyt/Schermerhorn (A,C,E) and Bergen st. (F,G) but you still have to do some walking (7-10 mins) to get home.
As our hosts were home during most of our stay we could hear them quite a lot through the ceiling (they live upstairs but you have a separate entrance). It is no wonder since this an old brownstone house (and it was nothing that disturbed us) but worth mentioning.
It also gets rather cold when it's damp outside (there are extra covers if you need them).
Don't miss out on:
Paisanos Deli on Smith street (sandwiches to go and all sorts of Italian food you can imagine)
Rucola, Italian restaurant just around the corner on Bond street
Both Smith street and 5th avenue are nice for having coffee or dinner or going shopping. The park and the weekend Brooklyn Flea market in Fort Greene are walking distance.
All I can say is AMAZING! The place is exactly what you see. Clean and comfortable. It was exactly what I needed with all the necessary amenities. Great for any families! Easy access to transportation to the city,
Great parks and eateries all around...it was just great!! I highly recommend this spot!
Now this is a special place! We felt like home from the moment we entered the appartement. Our hosts we helpfull when we needed it.
We will definately visit Brooklyn again and hopefully it will be at Eva and John's.

The place was perfect to have a good sleep after a day walking around New York City. Very quiet, clean and good location (two blocks from F,M metro), grocery shops nearby, and walking distance to china town and little Italy.
We were four (family-three adults and a child) and the space worked fine for us, even though there is no much privacy since the second bedroom is what originally was a living room and is semi open. Main room (downstairs doesn´t have a door).
The kitchen-living room area is very small but since it (email hidden) a percepction of being bigger. The kitchen had what we needed to make breakfast everyday.
The building is quiet, clean, and the neighborhood is safe to go in and out at any time (we ussually got back at around 11pm).
Internet was good as well as cable tv.
The place works fine if you plan to visit NYC and go there to have a good night sleep.
At the end there was a detail we did not like at all. When we made the reservation we got a message saying that there were other guests arriving the night of the day we left, which was fine since we were to leave at around 4. Our last day, Dennise, who was the person who gave us the keys, started calling and ask us to leave earlier. She got to the apartment and eventhough she was nice, asked us to take our things out. That detail made us leave the place with a bitter feeling.
We enjoyed our stay in Brooklyn, the apartment is very spacious, nicely kept.
Everything you need for your stay is included in the apartment.. Jana is very efficient, and organized.
Park Slope is a beautiful section of Brooklyn, and convenient to Manhattan.
Anna is a nice host although we spoke only briefly when we met her to get the key. The apartment matched the description on airbnb. Cozy and warm (we stayed during winter/spring and it was cold outside). Location was very convenient, 5 minutes walk to subway stations, 5 minute walk to central park and the museum of natural history, bars and restaurants all around, grocery store right downstairs. Good neighbourhood, on a main road but still quiet at night (although we are heavy sleepers), area always felt very safe . Wifi was reliable and fast. Some downsides (every place has a few) were the temperamental shower and the lack of a microwave. Excellent overall and would defs stay again.
We have stayed in many rental apartments in New York and this was far the best. We travel a lot and stay in different kind of places; sometimes in five star hotels, sometimes in rental apartments, etc. There was 8 people in our group(5adults, one two years old and two 3 months old infants). The apartment was quite tight for us all but we are family(me and my husband+our two kids, my sister and her husband+one kid and our mom) and travel together a lot so it wasn't problem with us. The apartment is very light and clean. It's true that kitchen is small but we made breakfast there without problems. Most of the nights we ate take away at home and had enough space for us all to eat. The apartment is on the ground floor which made it easy for us with the strollers. The beds are big so we were sleeping with the kids in bed. There is a sofa bed in the living room which is good for one or two small adults.
It was very cold during our stay but the apartment was warm. Only the bathrooms are very cold. We couldn't use the garden because of the snow, but that's very nice addition during warmer months.
We can recommend the apartment to other people. It can accommondate 5 adults without problem. When we next time come to NYC, we'll be staying there again!
It was a pleasure hosting Jennifer's husband Jon the time he was here. He was often away but the little that we saw him, he was amicable. Very clean guest.
Jennifer was very easy to work with and respectful!
Great tenant A+
