Cool laid back 38 year old native new yorker. Work in the service industry. Nice normal guy. Gay if that matters. Love music, art, movies and sports. Bit of a TV junkie and total sci-fi geek. Wanna know more, just ask...

Nice neighborhood with lots of bars, cafés and restaurants all within a short walk. James was very helpful in coordinating my arrival and even had a list printed out with all the recommendations and instructions. I hardly saw him since he was working. The room is small and the 6 stores climb carrying your suitcases is quite a workout. Subway station close by but still quite a fair walk
I don't think I could have had a better Airbnb experience. James was great, an easy going and generous host. Due to his job, we didn't see much of him, so we had the apartment for ourselves most of the time. The room was small (biger than the pictures show) but very taught, with shelves and hanging facilities, TV, ipod/iphone speakers etc. Best of all is the neighborhood, walking distance to soho, litte italy, chinatown, nice bars, brunch spots and close to the metro. Highly recommended.
James was a very accommodating host and I had a wonderful stay at his place. The space itself was very clean and comfortable and the location is excellent for getting around downtown and BK.
We spent 10 days at James's apartment and had a great time. We didn't see him much but he was always willing to help with anything we needed, and trying to make our stay more pleasant. His roommate, Paul, and his girlfriend were also very nice and helpful. The apartment is clean and comfortable and very well located, close to the subway and in an area filled with restaurants and pubs. The six floor stair climb is a bit tiring but it is also a way to drop the calories you might have gained after a day out on the town.
Two words - easy and awesome.
A great stay in the lower east side of NYC. Awesome location with a short walk to awesome restaurants and coffee and bars. Short walk to most subways.
The place...(in easy to manage bullet points instead of prose):
- nice room with easy wifi
- TV is right there (if you need it),
- fresh towels,
- good shower
- great list of food places to hit near by (THOROUGHLY recommend the meatball shop)
Welcoming host and everything was easy and accommodating.
Me and a friend have been at James' for one week. We didn't see each other often or talked much but if so James was really friendly and helpful. The room is small and dark but ok. The location of the flat is pretty nice, many bars really close and a lot going on in the evening. The street itself is not the prettiest though. Bottom line: we enjoyed the stay.
We had a great stay in James apartment! James is a very helpful and cool guy. The room is cosy and clean, it´s looks exactly like the pictures. He gave us good recommendations for places to eat in the neighborhood. The apartment is located in a perfect area, quiet and near to restaurant, bars, shops and to the subway. Two minutes from James apartment there is a wonderful breakfast place and it´s very popular and well known. You must be there eight o´clock in the morning when they open, if not you can wait for one hour or more until you get a table. The place name is Clinton St Baking.
We definitely recommend James apartment!
Close by Subway and nice bars in lower east. Especially appreciated the fresh towels and freedom we got. Plus very fast responsiveness on messages sent by airbnb app. Thx James!
James was a great host, and the apartment looks exactly like the photos: it's very clean and has a great location in the Lower East Side. The room was perfect for a short stay and I would recommend it to others.
James is a real nice host and very accommodating! From
Enquiry to booking, he has been very prompt in response and very helpful.
James allowed me and my friend to check out at a real late timing and trusted us to pass the keys to his friend who works nearby.. That allow us to explore NYC for a full day before heading to airport.
The place is cozy and comfy and I have no issue at all even in the snow storm and low temperature experience in NYC in years!
The climb up to James' place is not a big issue too and is in fact a food workout after heavy dinners in NY.
The house rules are simple and reasonable and I am thankful for such a value for money accommodation in NYC!
Will surely stay with James in future and lower east side is so charming with nice cafés all around!
