Nice apartment, close to restaurants and supermarkets. The area is quiet at night. The apartment has a lot of space for 4 people. The kitchen is quite small and it should be improved by changing some appliances and adding some more tableware. On the whole, I was happy with this accommodation.
Excellent location, very central - walking distance to all major attractions. House is spacious and has excellent collection of basic necessities like map, tourist guide, electrical converter, salt, etc.
Kitchen is small but functional. Supermarket is close by as well.
The only thing we didn't like were mosquitoes in the apartment. Not sure if this was specific to the apartment or general problem around that time of the year.
The apartment is in a great location (near Vatican City and the Pantheon). We walked to the Roman Forum & the Colosseum (35-45 minute one way) passing the Jewish Ghetto on the way... but if you don't want to walk there is a taxi pickup right at the end of the road. It's very convenient. The beds didn't provide the best sleep but that's not uncommon for Europe and there were lots of pillows. The streets are a little noisy but that's the price you pay for a good location. Overall I think this apartment is a value and allows you to see Rome on foot.
Location, location, location. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the proximity of this apartment to nice restaurants and all the sites.
The apartment was comfortable and felt very secure. Lidia arranged for Claudia to meet us and she was very prompt and helpful in being sure we could access the Internet and she answered all of our questions. She even called a taxi for us our last day there. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Just returned from our trip to Italy which included 4 nights in this apartment. We were traveling with a 2.5 year old and overall this was a very good fit for us as the house was comfortable and located on a quiet pedestrian street. The location is really what makes this apartment and we found it to be good for families as you are just a few minutes from the Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Vatican, etc and the neighborhood is wonderful and filled with lots of great places to eat and stroll plus a really top notch gelateria just steps from your front door. There are two small grocery stores just minutes from the apartment.
Lidia was very responsive and helpful leading up to our visit and arranged for a baby bed as well. We were met right on time with keys to be let into the apartment.
The apartment itself is a bit on the dark side and could benefit sometime in the near future from a fresh coat of paint and a new couch. The kitchen is basic and functional although the toaster oven did not work. Washing machine was also not working while we were there and Lidia told us it had been recently broken and was in the process of being fixed.
This was our first time using AirBnB and overall we were very happy with the experience-- it was wonderful to have a kitchen and be in such a great location!
The location is perfect, minutes walk to both ancient Rome and Vatican. The apartment is spacious, although the kitchen is tiny and quite untidy.
1. We were not warned in advance about a 25 euro fee for late check-in (after 8:30 pm). Lidia cancelled this fee though because my husband fixed a problem with electricity due to which the fridge and wifi did not work
2. The washing machine did not work and by it's poor condition you could tell that it hadn't been working for quite a while. It was the major disappointment because it was our last stop after 2 weeks of traveling in Italy before going to Sicily and we had tons of washing to do and were specifically looking for an apartment with a washing machine. Unfortunately Lidia was not helpful about this problem, proposing us to be _locked_ in some neighbours apartment for a couple of hours to do the washing.
3. The surroundings gets very noisy after 7 am, and there's no aircon to let you shut the windows. Be aware if you are a late sleeper.
To summ up: it's an awesome place if all you care about is location but not household facilities and hospitality. Unfortunately, as it was our 5th stop via airbnb in Italy, we knew that you can get both at the same time, and were a bit disappointed.
This apartment is in the most perfect location for exploring Rome- we could walk to all the major sights- great neighborhood-eclectic shops and lots of great restuarants, cafes, bars, etc. Great location for all the action yet nice and quiet at night for sleeping! Apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable- a joy to return to each night after long days exploring Rome!
Beautiful apartment - lots of space and great location. There was quite a bit of noise from people on the street at night, but that's to be expected in a busy area. Overall it was a great experience.
This place is lovely! It's perfectly located. Walking distance to everything. I would recommend this place to everyone. My only advice is bring mosquitos repellent. There were mosquitos in the house and around the city.
