Howard & Amy are excellent hosts, and their house is a budget-friendly option for visiting Boston, since they will make you a delicious breakfast and transport you to the local commuter rail station. They coordinated sharing the bathroom between myself and the other 3 guests, which worked fine. Due to the lack of air conditioning, I can't recommend this option during hot weather, unless you are immune to the heat!
They were very hospitable and accommodating throughout our short stay. The rooms were exactly as described and pictured. We enjoyed our time and the lovely breakfast! Next time, we'll stay for longer~
Amy picked me up from the train station and I immediately noticed she is an artist, both as an individual and in her home, where colorful pieces decorate the walls of their home. As someone that never lived in New England, I was surprised by the way people live, evident in the home and hospitality provided by Howard (Howie) & Amy Steinmetz, where I stayed for almost a week. In that short amount of time, I woke up to coffee and conversation with them, as well as other guests in transition, which helped me to make an informed decision to move to the area (i.e. West Natick) in September. Likewise, the location (walking distance from the train station) helped me to look for a home and is centrally located to the surrounding areas (i.e. Framingham, Wellesley, etc.). Looking back, I will always remember my experience at their home as a great introduction to New England and recommend their home if you want a B&B experience that welcomes you and let's you feel safe and secure in West Natick, Massachusetts, where I will be moving to soon enough. My experience here was great, especially when we spoke with some of the other guests including a student from Spain, an architect, and a physician and his wife returning from Paris.
Great quiet neighborhood, as described. Hosts were very inviting to all guests staying.
Friendly hosts greeted us at the door and made my son and I feel very welcome.
Coffee in the morning and the offer of some breakfast was unexpected and very generous.
Location in a quiet neighborhood was conveniently located.
Unfortunately, we were not able to get to Boston as planned. However, we would like to say that the hosts were very responsive during the entire process leading up to the intended stay, even offering to pick up from the nearby Logan Express!
We would definitely consider staying here if travels bring us back to the Boston area!
They were extremely gracious hosts, more than went out of their way to be helpful.
