Young professional looking to rent his luxury West End/Foggy Bottom DC apartment to fellow airbnb'ers.
Very nice place! Wifi, high end appliances, cable TV. The building is modern, has a Whole Foods attached to it and is right across the street from the Foggy Bottom Metro station. There is parking available underground for about $20 per day. Safe area, easy 15 minute walk to either Lincoln Memorial or DuPont Circle (depending on which direction you choose to go).
Noise from the Circa restaurant may be an issue for some, (its right below the apartment) but my wife and daughter use ear plugs anyway and I had no issues (I am a very sound sleeper). The host contacted me several times during the week to make sure everything was ok. (it was)
This luxury one bedroom was everything we could have asked for. It was the ideal location for our 5 day DC adventure. The condo was spotless and welcoming; well outfitted and the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the dishwasher and the washer/dryer, which were terrific conveniences. The neighborhood is safe, vibrant and we benefited from our daily visits to 'Whole Foods' located on the ground floor. We walked to the Lincoln Memorial within 20 minutes; also to the heart of Georgetown in 20 minutes; and to the White House within 15 minutes. The Metro station (Foggy Bottom - GWU) across the street from the condo took us directly to Arlington Cemetery. The host contacted us via email during our stay to ensure we had everything we needed - we did! My wife and I look forward to our next stay here. Tim Z (Toronto, Canada)
The host canceled my reservation 38 days before arrival.
The apartment was clean, quiet, very secure, and in a really great neighborhood - close to 2 different metro lines and Chinatown, walking distance from the Nat'l Mall. Satinder left some breakfast goodies to make me feel welcome, and was available by txt during the visit to answer local questions - his Chinatown dinner recommendation - Zengo - was incredible!
