Welcome to my apartment in the downtown of Budapest ! I am sure you will enjoy your stay here - please let me know if you have any questions.
Eszter and Peter were great hosts. Very welcoming and informed us where to go eat and drink. We were 5 girls going for a long weekend away. The apartment is very close to bars but not close enough that the location is loud. Everywhere is within walking distance and the apartment was more than big enough for five people.
Great food places and cafés nearby as well as shops open until late for snack foods. There's a spar shop which had other small stalls outside (fresh fruit and veg) and a market on the weekend which was nice to have a browse around for gifts for people.
Location was perfect for us.
We had a great stay at Eszter's apartment. The place is really nice and comfortable and was perfect for our stay. Really close to city center and quiet too. Highly recommendable.
Eszter and Peter were fabulous hosts!!! It was a birthday trip and they welcomed us with chocolate and champagne! They were so welcoming and kind. The location is fabulous, walking distance to so many fabulous restaurants and good night life. Budapest is such an incredible city!
Hôte très accueillant et très arrangeant. Appartement nickel et très bien situé.
Eszter went above and beyond to make us feel welcome during the stay. Checkin and checkout was accommodated around our time schedules and she even left us a bottle of wine! The location was excellent, central to everything and easily accommodated 4 adults.
Not good experience. We have been accused of chipping the glass bar which we did not do. It seems there is some stuff in the flat which is not fit for purpose.
Budapest is a great city though!
Eszter was what made this rental. She was always very responsive to all our inquires and even let us check in early after our overnight flight. She left us a bottle of wine and a box of chocolate. Unfortunately we never got to meet her since she was out of town when we arrived but still kept in touch thru texts. Her mother met us at the apartment and tried to orientate us despite the language barrier. The apartment was in a good location in the old Jewish section with a fantastic grocery store and farmers market just a few doors down and great Ruin Bar one block over. It was about a 5 min walk to the Old Synagogue and 30 min walk to Old Town.
(note if you taking a cab to the apartment make sure they know it is on the Square not the Street. I just showed the cab driver the address on my confirmation letter and he first brought us to the street. Fortuitously he didn't just drop us and run because this address on the street was under construction and had no roof. Fortunitly I called Eszter's mother and the cab driver was able to talk to her and find out the mistake)
The beds were very low to the ground and might be an issue if you have hip problems. One bathroom had a shower curtain but the other did not which was an issue for us non-bath takers. Esters mom must have forgotten to tell us about turning on the heat so we were frozen when we awoke from our post flight nap but once we got the heat on there was no problems. There were also portable heaters in all the rooms. The circuit breaker for the back bedroom, living room kept going off so be careful with turning off lights, heaters & tea kettle.... The circuit breaker is high on the wall above the front door but we could reach it with a broom handle.
All in all i would recommend Eszter and this rental. We really enjoyed Budapest!
Four of us spent 5 nights here. The apartment was ideal for us, plenty of privacy afforded by the bedrooms and separate baths plus good common areas, with ample seating for the four of us to stretch out in the sitting area. I think six people would have felt very comfortable as well. The kitchen had all the necessities to get started and a Spar grocery (open late) and a little market are literally yards away and very convenient. We found the bed extremely comfortable, wi-fi and TV signals were great, and the apartment itself was very clean, quiet and plenty warm. Eszter met us there to show us around and offer suggestions on the neighborhood and she very thoughtfully provided a choice of "restorative" beverages, which was much appreciated after a long overnight trip. She was great to communicate with, very prompt to answer texts/emails and quick to offer help. You can tell Eszter has a lot of experience hosting:) We enjoyed meeting her and offer many thanks for the opportunity to enjoy Budapest from her lovely apartment.
Great location, right in the middle of all the clubs. Eszter was a nice lady and the accommodation was good.
We had properly working Wi-Fi, all the lights worked and we could keep the apartment warm. We did not try the TV. The beds were OK.
One downside is that the showers don't have a decent "mount" to place the shower head on but that's the only thing I can think off.
