Super kind and accommodating, thanks Bril!
This was my second time at Bril's and I enjoyed my stay as much as the first time, it's like my home away from home.
My stay with Bril was very comfortable, clean and cozy. Couldn't think of anything more that I could have asked for.
Exactly as shown on the photo, but room actually felt bigger. The other guests were all very nice - mostly professionals who are also looking for a nice and peaceful place. The host was very knowledgeable and eager to help or answer any questions. The best conversations I've had in this area were in this house. Would love to stay here again if I'm in the area.
This a nice play to stay if you're looking for someplace quiet and affordable. It was very easy to find and the hosts are wonderful and helpful. She introduced me to the other guests and quickly showed me to my bunk, gave me a fresh towel and I was set. The bathroom is fine. The room was clean, especially the bunk and carpet. There was a desk and wifi. I would recommend bringing an extra pillow, shower shoes and some snacks because the kitchen is good for light cooking and saving cash. There is cereal, milk and bread in case you want a quick breakfast in the morning. All in all would definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for someplace clean, simple and comfortable.
Description was accurate. Didn't meet Bril at all, but he answered all my questions via text. His mother was awesome! She really helped us out despite the language barrier and was so kind! The house was clean and the neighborhood was great! I went out running and worked out in the park with no issues. Nice, quiet house that worked out for me and what I was looking to accomplish in the Bay!
The location and price are reasonable for a hostel. The photos are pretty accurate to the rooms, which are clean and cozy.
Good Host. Fast wifi. Friendly.
Only one bathroom among 10 guests, other than that it was fine
HONEST REVIEW: The house is sparse and the amenities listed are not accurate. A woman greeted me and showed me the house. It was VERY different from the description (The description has since been changed, but still not accurate). 2 Bunk beds per room for a total of 4 people per room.....and there's 3 rooms. You are potentially sharing a bathroom with 12 people! That's not in the description! Bring sandals to shower in; you'll be glad you did. The bed is modest and comfortable. The linens smell like someone smokes indoors, so bringing your own pillow is a good idea. The "breakfast" included is stale off-brand bag cereal on the kitchen table. I was offered a community meal but had to work. I bet it would have been the highlight. One BIG issue which has not been discussed/described: CURFEW?!! 11:30pm! Had I known, I would not have booked. I was locked out twice due to curfew, and had to sleep in my car. I got off work (the reason I booked) around 2am and had to sleep in my car 2 of the 7 nights I booked. Needless to say, you don't get keys and are at the mercy of whoever locks the door. To sum up the accommodations, I would describe them as very minimal.
They stayed for one night. They left the room very clean and tidy and seemed very pleasant. Would welcome them back.
