Perfect location for our group of 9. Within walking distance of the World War II Museum and trolley makes French Quarter very accessible. Full kitchen including a blender was just what we needed for our evening cocktails. Thank you for meeting us on our arrival and answering all questions and calls promptly.
Karen’s house is quiet, lovely, and spacious with all the creature comforts of home. It worked for our party of six perfectly. It is in a great location within easy walking distance to Magazine street and some boutique shopping as well as to the St. Charles streetcar line for easy access to the French Quarter or Tulane/Loyola/Audubon Park. Karen was prompt to meet us upon checkin and show us the amenities of the home and gifted us some local coffee, cream, bagels and cream cheese, as well as bananas and potato chips – a really nice touch. We felt quite safe knowing that not only was there a gated driveway as well as pedestrian gate but that Karen’s father lives on property too so there is often someone there (and he is a charming man too!) Would highly recommend this property and know that when we come back to NOLA we will be looking to stay here first! Thanks Karen!
Had an amazing couple of days staying in Karen's beautiful home. In a lovely area, short walk to magazine street. House was lovely inside, lots of nice touches (chocolates on pillows and bagels and coffee left for breakfast). Karen was extremely helpful with local knowledge and let some of our group, who had a later flight stay later than check out time. Would highly recommend this home!
Thank you, ,,glad your group had a great stay, ,,,,,,,come visit anytime
Karen was a fantastic host - quick to meet us at the house and to offer suggestions for restaurants and directions and everything else someone new to the city would need (including coffee and bagels in the kitchen). The location was perfect for walking around Magazine Street and quick cab rides to other neighborhoods.
We had a fantastic stay at Karen's place for 3 nights during Labor Day week-end. Karen was out of town so her sister Kim welcomed us at the house and gave us details about the house, neighborhood and nearby restaurants. She was super useful. The house was exactly as described. Large house with all amenities. The neighborhood, Garden District, is well worth a walking tour. Lots of old traditional houses.
The house is about 10 mins away by taxi or 30 mins by walking from French quarters.
We really liked our stay there and would definitely consider this place again during our next trip to New Orleans.
We used this space for a group meeting, renting both sides of the flat. Everything was as described in the announcement. Well put together, welcoming vibe and centrally located in NOLA. Also there is enclosed parking if you prefer. Although it didn't have a room that was an ideal meeting space, it ended up being a nice option to have hangout/eating on one side and the other as meeting space. Wi-fi dropped out more than normal, but imagine lots of folks aren't coming to this town for meeting so imagine not a big deal ;) Thanks to Karen and her family for hosting.
Thank you guy's, ,,,,hope your meeting was a success, ,,,come stay with us anytime
We had a wonderful experience visiting New Orleans and staying at Karen's place made it particularly pleasant. The house is charming, spacious, very nicely decorated and welcoming. The kitchen had all we needed for meals, the beds were very comfortable and we found good books and magazines in every room. The location is very convenient and the neighborhood is very attractive, with beautiful houses and a close by street of good restaurants and boutiques. Everyone in my family was very satisfied with the choice we made and we will recommend this place to all our friends without hesitation.
Thank you very much for sharing your house with us, Karen!
Thank you guy's, ,,,,so happy you enjoyed our beautiful property, ,,,,come visit anytime, ,,,karen
Karen was a great host and made us feel welcome from the start. We arrived early and this was not a problem as Karen was on hand to let us drop our bags off.
The property is in a great location for exploring New Orleans and is a short tram ride in to the French Quarter.
I would not hesitate to recommend this property to other travellers to the Big Easy
Thank you so much, ,,,,glad you guys had a great stay in our wonderful city. Your kind review is so appreciated, ,,karen
This is a fantastic house in the heart of the Garden District! It is a large home with three bedrooms located on the second floor. It was clean and had all of the amenities we needed for our stay.
Karen, the host, is fantastic and did everything to make my family's stay as comfortable as possible. We arrived earlier than the normal check in time, but Karen was able to meet us at the house and let us in so that our daughter could take her regular nap.
Exceptional!!! Our experience at Karen's place was nothing short of perfect. The place is clean and beautiful, perfectly located between french quarter and uptown, and the host is extremely helpful.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 2-1/2 bathrooms as listed. In addition to that there is a formal living area and family room which makes it big enough for upto party of 10. They also had chocolate candies on our pillows before we arrived. Kitchen is equipped for a refreshing morning coffee and some fruit breakfast before you head out for NOLA fun.
We enjoyed our stay at Karen's and we would definitely stay here again next time we are in New Orleans.
