New Orleans native. able to give info to guests to make their stay more enjoyable. suggest restaurants and sites to see.
Karen was one of the best hosts I've met on Airbnb. She greeted our group at the house and showed us around the house (which was needed, since the house is pretty big). She gave us great tips about where to visit in the neighborhood, and even brought us a delicious King Cake to eat. She was very responsive when things came up and also very accommodating.
The neighborhood is great. It's about two blocks from the trolley and a few blocks from good coffee shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is also a couple of blocks away from the Garden District, which is definitely worth a walk-through on a sunny day. It's a great neighborhood to get away from the craziness of the French Quarter while still having plenty to do in the daytime. It's also not too much of a walk from the Warehouse District, where the can't miss WWII museum is, and a great restaurant we visited called Cochon.
The house itself was incredibly spacious, very clean, and very beautiful. It housed 10 of us comfortably while still having plenty of common space to unwind after a day walking around.
The host, the house and the neighborhood are all A+. I hope to stay here again next time I visit New Orleans!
This is truly a amazing house in a safe and convenient neighborhood. The host's father is living on another apartment in the same house and gave us a lot of helps. We really enjoyed the stay.
Beautiful house! We had 6 girls and more than enough room to be comfortable. The house was very clean, and Karen was a wonderful host (and brought us the best King Cake in town before we left)!
The location is great -- just a few minutes walk to Magazine, some great breakfast/coffee spots, restaurants, and shopping. We will definitely be back!
Thanks ladies,,,,you guy's come visit anytime
Karen was incredibly welcoming to our large group. Her home was beautiful and there was plenty of space for all 13 of us to stay comfortably. The house is in a charming neighborhood, and everything is just a quick cab ride away. I would highly recommend choosing Karen's home for a NOLA getaway!
We had a fantastic stay at Karen's house. She was a great host, making check-in and check-out easy. She was available to answer our questions at any time. The house was very clean and accommodated our group of 6 great. We loved the neighborhood and the ability to walk to Magazine St. and St. Charles Ave. The French Quarter is a short cab ride away. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning.
Great spot! Beautiful location next to nice park. Clean, big rooms. Very comfortable for 3 adults and a baby. We loved it!
Karen was an exceptionally gracious host - She was flexible and did her best to make the visit memorable including bringing New Orleans coffee to the house with beautiful pastries- We were a bit disappointed with the blow up beds, but we made do and had a wonderful time. The location of the home is absolutely fantastic which makes the NOLA experience even better
We came down to New Orleans for a fun girls weekend and this was the perfect spot to stay. Karen was a great host, very responsive and provided ideas for activities. The place comfortably hosted all 6 of us. Would definitely stay again!
Perfect location for our group of 9. Within walking distance of the World War II Museum and trolley makes French Quarter very accessible. Full kitchen including a blender was just what we needed for our evening cocktails. Thank you for meeting us on our arrival and answering all questions and calls promptly.
Karen’s house is quiet, lovely, and spacious with all the creature comforts of home. It worked for our party of six perfectly. It is in a great location within easy walking distance to Magazine street and some boutique shopping as well as to the St. Charles streetcar line for easy access to the French Quarter or Tulane/Loyola/Audubon Park. Karen was prompt to meet us upon checkin and show us the amenities of the home and gifted us some local coffee, cream, bagels and cream cheese, as well as bananas and potato chips – a really nice touch. We felt quite safe knowing that not only was there a gated driveway as well as pedestrian gate but that Karen’s father lives on property too so there is often someone there (and he is a charming man too!) Would highly recommend this property and know that when we come back to NOLA we will be looking to stay here first! Thanks Karen!
