The home is beautiful and being right next to the coffee shop is the perfect way to wake up-smells like Chicory Coffee everyday!
The Good, Great and Amazing
-The apartment is gorgeous, and very well done.
-Jessie (Lauren's husband) was the only one of the pair that I met but he was SO nice and extremely quick to respond.
-The coffee shop next door is phenomenal.
-The Shower is even cooler than it looks in the pictures.
My only gripes about the place was that it was a little further away than we wanted to be from Frenchmen Street, French Quarter and The Garden District and had the neighborhood been a little safer we might have been able to walk more places but were warned numerous times by numerous people not to walk around in that area, unless in groups, and especially at night. Never felt unsafe inside the Airbnb itself but the area around it wasn't great (although it does seem to be up and coming).
We probably wont stay in this Airbnb the next time we come to NoLa but only because of location. The rest of it was perfect.
Loved the apartment design and layout! Clean and comfortable, liked the entry code system so we didn't have to deal with keys, found it easy to get an Uber from there. We really enjoyed walking to the Joint and Elizabeth's for lunches, then through Crescent Park to the French Quarter. Coffee option next door is great, although on Sunday and early mornings we missed having an easy walk to get our caffeine fix.
Stunner! This space just oozes coolness and it was so much fun to camp out here for a few days. Highpoints- the shower cave, old school stereo, driveway parking, coffee shop next door. Lolo was so sweet and welcoming. She is the type of person whos strong sense of self and flawless style permeates into everything she touches- namely this gorgeous rental space, her own historic home above, and the most delicious coffee shop adjoining.
Seriously, if you are looking for a clean, unique, happy and chill place to stay that's close to everything but just far enough away for needed peace then this is the place to stay. Lauren and her man are great hands-off hosts that are in reach in no time if needed.
If you love coffee then their shop next door will fulfill your wildest caffeinated dreams. Those Friday homemade pop tarts were tasty as was the Spanish tortilla made by a local friend Saturday morning. Meeting a number of very friendly patrons was nice as well.
We shall return in the future.
This place could not have been more perfect. The apartment itself is just lovely, and it's wonderful to have delicious coffee right next door! We played it safe with being outside at night, but we never felt anything but totally comfortable. LoLo is a wonderful host. I would recommend this place to anybody!
- Apartment was beautiful, large and clean.
- Lauren was lovely and very friendly.
- Cafe next door offered fresh croissants.
-Box air conditioner kept the space nice and cool.
-The smell of coffee
A couple of things that I wished were different
- A bag of trash was in front of our door when we arrived and remained there for the entirety of our stay.
-Shampoo and Conditioner was actually Conditioner and Conditioner and I didn't notice until I was showering.
-Cut my leg on a broken spring sticking out of the mattress.
- While sleeping, my boyfriend got a weird bite that had a large odd shaped ring around it.
-Band practice from 3 - 6 in the room behind the bedroom.
Wow, the smell of coffee in this place was amazing! We enjoyed our stay and the space is cozy and well thought out. Great recommendations by our host and their coffee shop next door was a bonus! Great place in a fun part of town, you will love it!
I have nothing but good things to say about LoLo's place in New Orleans. They gave me very clear instructions on how to enter the apartment, and it was exactly as pictured on Airbnb...except maybe it actually feels bigger in person than it looked in the photos. It was spacious and comfortable, and most of all REALLY unique. They built it out with lots of care and character and attention to detail. Super cool place. The bed is comfortable, the water pressure is great, and it feels completely safe. And by the way, the best coffee in New Orleans is literally immediately next door, so that's pretty hard to beat.
As others have noted you will need to use transportation to head around town from there (not much you'll be walking to from the apartment)--but this is definitely what I had planned to do and I never waited longer than 5 minutes for an Uber to arrive. Great place, will definitely stay there again when I get back to NOLA!
LoLo was a great host. The apartment was clean and in a decent neighborhood.
Lauren was a very easy guest. She was extremely laid back and easy to communicate with. My apartment was respected and I would welcome her back.
Lauren is a nice and educate, and I found interesting to talk with but becouse they were most of the time going out to visit other places we could spend enougth time to talk has I wish. She was easy going, considerate and respectful. She is welcome back to us
