From New Orleans
Grace is a rock star host that I highly recommend. She was easily accessible and was able to answer any questions I had plus drop off things like extra linens. Additionally, she provided some great tips for where to go in New Orleans, including the best bike routes for getting to surrounding neighborhoods.
The house is located in Mid City, which locals have coined is "The Middle of Awesome." I agree. Within walking distance there are local cafes, restaurants/bars, and convenience stores. I recommend Community Coffee on Espanade for a good cup of coffee and outdoor seating.
Within 2 miles (easily bike-able) you have access to the infamous French Quarter and some other amazing surrounding neighborhoods and parks, each with its own unique character and flare.
The bonus of living in Mid City is that the neighborhood is very quiet. So you're close to all the action, but you have a nice place to retreat to when you're done. Also, if you happen to rent here for Jazz Fest, you're a stone's-throw away from the fairgrounds. It's literally across the street and very convenient.
I highly recommend this gem of an apartment and Grace as a host.
Grace was a great guest. She was flexible, corteous, punctual and respectful of the place. Would love to host her again!
It was a pleasure to have Grace in our rental this weekend. She was pleasant and communicated very well when she arrived a little later expected. She left the place very tidy and clean. Thanks Grace, I'll let you know how SX goes.
