Married couple from UK visiting our son who is a researcher at Sloan-Kettering. Theatre, music, museums and general sight-seeing
Joanne was a very nice guest to have and left the apartment clean and spotless. However, we got in to a couple of misunderstandings, I felt like Joanne wasn't used to a New York apartment which is hard to understand if you haven't lived in the city for a while. My apartment has a very high standard to New York apartments And I felt like this wasn't understood. As a guest, you have to accept other ways of living and not try to re-adapt you're own environment but be open to a new one and I felt like this got misunderstood by Joanne. She was asking me questions about hygiene and other absurd notions which I haven't experience for any other guests during the time I've been hosting my apartment on airbnb. She also demanded me to come back to the house to explain to her all facilities which I already explained to her when leaving the keys. Airbnb Is not a hotel, it's about your own responsibilities I'm someone's else's home again, I never experienced any guest demanding me to come back and explain to them how my apartment works when I've already done that in our first meeting.
I feel like our life differences and age created a bit of a problem what was unnecessary to have.
thank you very much for staying with us. Yes Torre Annunziata is non tourist area, less expensive, but a nice base for visiting the region.
