As a family, we love the outdoors, we love to travel, and we appreciate sharing community wherever we go. My husband is a commercial fisherman in Alaska and I have a career in public health. We are outdoor junkies year round. Visitor are treated like friends and almost immediately feel like they are adopted into and effortless community. My husband is a radio programmer at the local community radio station when he's not fishing and is into indie everything. Suffice to say, he's a bonafide audiophile. I like to wander without time as close to nature as possible. We're a happy family.
Our home is located five walking minutes from one of the most beautiful coastlines in the United States. The main house has two bedrooms each with a private deck facing the woods. The main living space has wood floors, plenty of windows, a satisfying mix of eclectic art and books, and is shared between the kithen, dining, and sitting area. The front deck is tiered providing a glimpse of the ocean and garden. Adjacent to the cottage is an outdoor hot/cold bamboo shower. Not far off is the kayak rack. The front yard has been described as a cloistered garden with a fire pit in the center. From the front deck one can see into the garden, from within, there is complete privacy. Visitors to our home are always enchanted, friends never want to leave.
